Game 2 EC SemiFinals: Wizards @ Celtics 8 PM (TNT/1500 AM) [5/2/17]

YOUR Washington Bullets LOOKED LIKE CHOKERS ON SUNDAY.

After a tough series vs. the Hawks, they got off to a terrific start against the #1 seeded Celtics. :clap:

Then, the bench came in, the lead was lost, and then Keef Morris got hurt in #SoWizards fashion in a 2nd round series (think back to John's hand in Game 1 vs. ATL 2 years ago). The Celtics took advantage and closed the rebounding gap and hit a historic number of 3 pointers. Horford played point-center and scored 10 assists. The Wizards defense is a mess.

Despite that, Morris plans to play on one ankle and soldier on despite admitting this was the worst sprain in his life.

Meanwhile, our $16M rim protector, NBA Champion, made of glass, useless in postseason Center is still hurt and won't be playing probably for the duration of this series and season (whatever's left of it).

I'm trying to be optimistic. But I don't see the Wizards able to play great defense against this team. Bogs and Jennings are terrible defenders. The 3 pointers have been a defensive issue for the 2nd half of the season and Thomas can drive into the paint at will especially vs. Gortat and Smith.

The Wizards need a Game 6 in ATL styled offensive attack to have any chance of stealing homecourt. I just don't see it with the defensive abilities of Smart, Bradley and Crowder making life difficult.

Brandon Jennings is a **** idiot and a terrible basketball player and a cancer to any team that he is on. I hope we get absolutely wrecked by the Celtics because of his ignorant comments. This guy is the dumbest player I have ever seen. Total scrub player that does nothing well on the court and he disrespects a hall of famer.

I hate this guy so much and can't wait till him and his terrible influence is away from this team and Satoransky is our backup guard. Character matters, this dude is a POS.

Hopefully they just play better in game 2, but yeah I'm at a loss for suggestions lol. They played my wall-Beal-Oubre-Porter-Gortat lineup and it got destroyed too. Hoping it was just an effort thing and a bad game.

It wasn't coaching in game 1.

(In a series against the Boston Celtics, while playing for a team in the Washington Wizards, that loves Paul Pierce also because of that one year)

Pierce played well for us and is a HOF player. Jennings is basically a nobody. Know your role and shut your mouth.

Look, I love Pierce. He had a great career and was awesome for us but I'm sick of people acting like you can't say anything. Pierce is om of the biggest trash talkers in history. I don't mind if other guys say something bad about him. Like people got mad at Draymond but then I found out Pierce was going off on him 1st. I love Wall but I'm ok with Smart talking trash because Wall always does. If you give it then you have to take it, like Cameron should have done

What? There's no way we beat Boston in 4 out of 5 games. We could have buried them yesterday, a loss would have been more acceptable tomorrow. Now it's pretty much must win.

I would like to win game 2 but it is pretty doable. Washington would just have to take care of business at home and then win either game 5 or game 7 on the road. The 2005 Wizards showed that it could be done, granted the Bulls were a worse team but the 2017 Wizards are better than that Wizards team.

Morris did an OK job on Horford. Held him scoreless in the 1st quarter. Had a layup on him in 2nd quarter before he injured Morris. I am worried about Isiah.

But as to my original point, teams have recovered after losing the first two games (see Cleveland last season against Golden State. Obviously would prefer to win game 2 because it would make games 3 and 4 do or die games.

I'm not giving up after one game on only 36 hours layover. If this were the Capitols, I might agree with you. Its not. Even if they go down 2-0, the series is not a wrap.

The negativity in the first page of this game thread is depressing. And I don't know why FAH1223 wastes time starting threads if he assumes were going to lose every time.
