If you are moving up then let it be Ball or Faultz or Smith or Tatum or Isaac or Jackson ..not Allan or Collins who are not better prospects then Bam Adeboya who will most likely be available when we pick ...

Unfortunately, nothing short of DeRozan will get us into the Top 5 of the draft. And even then, some of the teams in the Top 5 would rather have a multi-year tank than an accelerated rebuild.

I'm gonna go with -

1. Dillo - Gotta go with a super high potential kid, develop him in the 905 - possible star potential
2. Thornwell - strong guard, gamer (if Powell starts at the 3 next year, this kid could be a solid 2guard prospect to have, he's a winner)
3. Iwundu - Big, long guard (I like a guy that can handle the ball and playmake - seems like a good passer. Showed in the 1st round how having a 3rd creator on the court)
4. Jonah Bolden - solid 3/4 prospect (athleticism, shooting and length)
5. Bam - perfect energy big for today's NBA (block shots, set screens and catch lobs .. I think his game can translate better in the NBA, plus his shot ain't broke like Dwight/Jordan)

Pretty much agree here. Nice mix of serious upside - Dillo, going senior safe with Norm II - Sindarius and BPA. No point in drafting if you do not go BPA. I think Bam is a great pick and ditto Iwundu. Going to be hard to land Diallo because he'll look for a promise and there may be reservations from teams who didn't like his self appointed dressed/red shirt status for half a season. He pretty much chose not to play to keep his stock up but played understudy in case he comes back to Kentucky which is the more likely scenario. Maybe the Bucks will promise him since they have taken fliers on Giannis and Thon.

Wow, I like this kid even more now. Models his game after Kawhi/Iggy. Played some PG this year too, id love to draft this guy.

Kevin Pelton had Van Vleet as the #1 statistical prospect in his draft year, and I was hoping we'd end up with him in the 2nd round or undrafted. Hopefully we can find another player this year.

Kadeem Allen looks interesting to me as a potential Pat Beverly 3 and D type. He's 6'1, but has 6'9 wingspan and shot the 3 well (36% as junior, 42% as senior) and is a decent FT shooter. Very few 3 and D PGs have made it as the league seems to want creation off the bench from their smaller guards, but I could see us having someone like Allen and Delon Wright as our backup backcourt (assuming Norm starts at the 3) with Wright handling the ball more but Allen providing him space. And when Lowry sits and DeRozan runs the O, he badly needs spacing to operate efficiently, and Allen could do that and guard the other team's best small player. Of course we have Van Vleet too, but I assume CoryJo will be dealt for luxury tax reasons and so we will presumably add a guard in addition to our 23rd pick being used on a forward of some kind.
Where's the D?

Looks like Canadian Justin Jackson is getting some interest right now. You think he gets taken this year or waits another year? I wouldn't mind us taking him but he'd kinda be a reach at 23

Lebron owns the east give me a high upside young pick I can watch grow.

Or whoever is the best shooter

There may not be anyone with great upside at our pick. For everyone who keeps bringing up Harry Giles, the kid has no skill and 2 **** knees. He's a throwaway pick. This may be a case of having to draft a role player again because there's no other option. That won't make any difference to this team's fortunes, but nothing will really for the next few years. Just hope our pick can stay in the league at least.

You think we have a chance at Hamidou Dallio? seems like a high upside guy but also seems like he's just testing the waters

I think he's as likely as anyone to be on the board. But if we're drafting a guy who is not much more than a dunker at this stage, then we'd better have a good coach with the D League to work with him. Stackhouse won't be here as a D League coach next year. He'll get interest for head coaching positions in the NBA.

God, I just want a rebuild. I'm tired of this crap. lol. I didn't even watch the game last night because I figured there was at least a 75% chance of a loss and why ruin my night? A part of me just wants a 4 game sweep, so maybe just maybe someone in the upper brass will consider a change.

I hope someone like Ivan Rabb is still available at the draft because I'm bored out of my mind with this team.

My guess is pretty uneducated, since I am not really watch these kids play in college, but from what I have seen, I thinl Bam is a complete bust. I would be shocked if he turns out good.

I don't have the numbers, but I suspect the overwhelming majority of raw big man prospects drafted late in the first round and beyond are busts.

I don't think a rebuild is in the cards anytime soon. Why don't you look into other young teams? Sixers and Twolves are fun to watch.

I follow the Wolves and Sixers. I've been a Philly fan for a long time, particularly due to the Iverson era, though I liked Barkley when I was a little kid. I’m more of a basketball fan than purely a Raps fan, but like anyone else, I get a lot more enjoyment out of watching my local team when they’re actually an exciting team. I guess entertainment value can be different for some than others, but for me I prefer a young, up and coming team or a real contender than a team that reaches it's ceiling with nowhere else to go. I’m old enough to know both are easier said than done, but also old enough to recognize a treadmill. Even a very good one. I’d like to get off this treadmill some time in the next few years, though I'm fully aware it's unlikely. Simply making the playoffs and charging insanely high ticket prices IS the plan.

I like Isaac, Smith Jr., Anunoby the most out of this draft. Markkanen as well. Zach Collins looks like he can a key piece on a winning team. Maybe, a super glue-guy type.

At our range, I'm thinking Bolden or Kennard. Diallo seems intriguing, too.

Zach Collins reminds me of Pau Gasol.

Are there any can't miss prospects in the next 5 years? I've heard about zion williamson and comparisons to lebron but i just don't see it. Zion is an athletic freak but he's also much much much bigger than everyone else in highschool right now. Lebron was also much more than a dunker in HS, dude was already an elite passer at 16

do you trust Masai's drafting record now? I find it way too suspect to give him that opportunity to blow up the team.
We will be really in a tough spot, if we get swept (or 5 games).
Whenever I hear the story about how much he wanted Giannis..I am not sure he wanted him that bad..Giannis could take over the league, if our Genius knew that he would have given up a key piece to move back into the draft.

Lmao what? Do you expect him to draft superstars with late first round pick/second round picks?
