Shots fired!!

But I skimmed over Canzano's column briefly and I think the criticism was pointed at management, not the players.

I stumbled across that article looking for something else, it's pure trash. Read about the first 2 paragraphs and went to the bottom to see what nonsensical point he was trying to get at. It was 90 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

Also, props to Quick for that level of calling out Canzanos crap for what it is.

LMAo sure is a far cry from what he was in his Portland days.

I honestly thought he would dominate this game, no lie. He's larger than their frontline guys, the only one with the bulk to keep him from pushing inside all the way is NeNe. We saw how he dismantled Houston three years ago until they switched Asik and Dwight on him, and those two aren't there anymore. Complete disappointment for San Antonio I have to imagine.

He just doesn't seem to be a good fit at all with Pop or Leonard. That said, it should have been a fairly easy to see thing coming given that Pop has never employed high usage rate players really. LMAo's dominance in Portland came when he was getting fed the ball constantly on possessions when he was on the floor. Pop has never really done that with him and has more expected Aldridge to conform to being a system player. Instead of conforming, Aldridge has degressed to a pretty mediocre PF.

Player that wants to be the man and be number one, feels outshined by rising costar, inexplicably signs with team with superior player to him that was drafted there, surprised to find team doesn't conform around him. News at a eleven.

I only wonder if this years Portland team despite its flaws and a healthy Nurkic would have
done if they had avoided the GSW and anyone else in the first round. Likely they would still
be the underdog against the field but they are likely competitive.

Well seeing what GSW is doing to Utah, it looks like we really can't judge how good this team is especially sans Nurkic against a team like the Warriors.

Even when Utah keeps it close or has a nice lead GS just erases it in the 4th, just like what they did to us. They might have the most stacked and dominant team of all time all said and done. We will see how many championships that translates into but they are very tough.

Well, GS is crushing Utah in the second in game four here tonight so I don't feel too bad anymore.

WTF was with the Rockets tonight for how can a team playing at home get beat by 39 in an
elimination game especially with Kwahi Leonard out.

Overconfidence that leads to underpreformance. They thought it was gonna be easy, got surprised and by the time they realized, it was too late.

the Rockets seemed real overconfident in games 1 and 2 against the Blazers 4 years ago. That didn't work out well for them either

Popovich seems to do some of his greatest coaching when the Spurs are missing key players; and for him to exceed his norms is jumping over a real high bar

seems like I remember the Spurs coming into Portland 2 or 3 seasons ago missing about 7 starters and still beating the Blazers...quite handily IIRC

For whatever reason, NBA teams still haven't really garnered much respect for Pops system.

That said, there's something to be said for scouting. Teams don't prep to play a teams 2nd and 3rd team guys. I think it's much easier for teams to be surprised by a teams end of the bench guys than it is their starters.

Small wonder that Popovich does so well, given he is allowed 7 starters.

I think the Rockets' medical staff should check out Harden. From the overtime through last night he seemed dazed and disoriented.
