I believe he had 3 TOs in quick succession in the 3rd quarter which led me to believe that the tide of that game turned. However, from re-watching that game, I was a bit surprised by the officiating in that it seem like they let both sides play when I was anticipating the refs calling a tight game given the histories these teams have with each other. Was it simply the officiating and not being able to adjust???

With that being said I do expect a tighter called game 2.

Wall can't be Superman all the time. Losing the lead, losing Morris, and I think mental fatigue got the better of John game one. He was hot with the officials. Then came turnovers.

Wall simply must play through, and be mindful to be sound in half court decision-making.

Playing 44 minutes in game 6 might have something to do with it.

With only a 36 hour turnaround...

FOOK THIS DUDE. WHY DID I WANT HIM TO SIGN IN DC?

Horford really does shoot out that front foot an extra 6"-10" inches or so on landing. Did the same foot move to both Beal and Morris.

If I were in Brooks' seat I would target Horford for very physical play. Too bad Jason Smith is awkward and not all that strong. Gortat is too valuable to the team with Mahinmi out.

If I were coaching I would ask Mahinmi if he weren't too feeble to give me three hard fouls.

Get ahead and maintain sound principles on defense. Don't let Boston swing the ball and step into shots comfortably.

I would play Oubre and Satoransky. No Bogey at all and maybe no Smith. Speed players and a transition game favors the Wizards.

From that video it doesn't look too good. Don't believe he will play.

Yeah, that ankle looks really stiff - I like to be optimistic, but not seeing this going well even if he does play.

Oubre starting is not what I was hoping Brooks adjustment to be, but oh well it is what it is.

Here's to Oubre stepping up, but I don't like the fact that the Celtics dominate both forward positions physically.

I would at least try a hard trap on IT when they run high PnR. Caveat being that you have to cut
off passing angles that would lead to a numbers advantage with the defense in catchup mode if
he is able to get rid of it.

I really like the kid but lets hope he changes the game in our favor.
On Sunday he broke our momentum in the 4thQ with an ill advised pass.

This isn't optimal. I know Brooks has few options. EG has not left him much else to work with.

Oubre seems to be able to do well defending the perimeter; but he makes some bad decisions at key times.

We shall see.

Last post til post game:

We're I coaching, I would persuasively convince the players we Will win.

I would get them happy. Play loose and free. It's a marathon not a sprint.

We only needed one road win to steal home court. Today is it.

I would look at the players during the game to gauge "want to" as well as calm and "can do".

I would play guys 10 through 14 early enough to see who brings it.

Wall would be reminded of clowning Julio Jones and ATL fans. Play like the boss that you are!

The most important guy to talk up is Beal. Rebounds are what I would stress. Plus free throws.

I would concede even 40 to Thomas but Al Horford can't do what he did again for us to win. Him and Olynyk.

I would encourage Porter to try and shoot 20 times. He is the key to a win.

This is daunting but doable.

Go Wizards!
