The Wizards are just like Toronto and Portland. Backcourt can never play good defense. The only way to make it work is to pair them with a DPOY candidate like Draymond Green. You can't have a satisfactory defender, you can't have a 3-D guy, you really need a top of the class, defensive savant.

That's what separates Golden State from these other teams, even without Durant in the previous couple years.

Why stay with stuff that's working. Not only does posting wall iso him on one G he can take, it also makes the rest of the Cs stand around and watch. They got no energy when they do that.
