Well what can you say about blowing two of these games in Boston? Eerily, not much. I had a feeling home court was going to play a big deal but I think our home court is a big advantage in the series. It's win two in DC or over, I think that's a good possibility. Said that, we can't keep playing Jennings, at this point how is Burke worse. I dunno, I'm at a loss, not going to watch game three or four because at this point.i don't think the refs were a factor either game, Cs wanted it more and we shot ourselves it the foot. In the ATL series we had gripes, but in this series (thus far) we've wilted. Do we want to be the next Hawks, only time will tell. Hella game though Wall.

Beal had a rough game, but that wasn't really the difference in the game.

Washington is up 6 with 2:20 on the clock and it wasn't Beal's lack of execution down the stretch that buried us.

The Celtics took Beal out of the game and it's a shame that the refs let the Celtics defenders get away with so much clutching and holding, but the Wizards were in it.

Definitely agree with all that.
If Beal has maybe only 3 turnovers instead of 6 and hits one or two threes instead of just 1... this game might have been smooth sailing. It's me being very "what if?" about this which you can do with just about anything, but I also think it's true. The turnovers being the thing that hurts the most.

The bench is probably the biggest problem. The difference is astounding. The luxury of being able to bring in a young player like Rozier off the bench and hit big shots for you is priceless in the playoffs. Oubre had a fine game despite his usual foul trouble, but we just don't have that. They've just got an all-around team top to bottom on their roster and we've got a couple really good players. BBIQ disparity was also on display. Which is pretty incredible considering the core of our group has more playoff experience than theirs. (going off the top of my head here) Stevens is coaching great.

We also missed freethows. If we made a few freethows we could of won as well.

But the Wizards had the win if Gortat makes the second FT to make it 111-104. Three possession game.

I think refs helped Boston but Thomas was just phenomenal.

Are the Wizards not the better team in DC?

The Wizards need to bring in their bench warmers to make some really hard fouls on IT. Let him have his 30 FT's but make him pay for it. If you intend to foul, foul like the Knicks of old. Dont allow a continuation play.

The front office needs to get the image out of their ass that more money/more assets given up = better players. You can build a great bench with the bare minimum. We just have horrible talent evaluators who just sign the guys with the same agents. I beg them to dig a little deeper.

Horrible evaluation and right now a coach who reminds me of Brenda Frese.

Once he gets a favorite he sticks with a short bench and keeps on losing the same way.

So, save smith and occasionally Oubre, the bench Brooks is trying doesn't really produce nor defend.. trying the same bs over and over again and expecting different results... insane... Either Brooks really does ride the short bus or he is simply too arrogant to try ANYTHING else. Offense doesn't seem to be the issue, but this defense is appalling. One team simply plays harder, the other approaches everything with Brooks' same ho-hum attitude. Now we are stuck with his bum ass for another 4 years.

Our bench/defense isn't something that's just going to change overnight. Both have been awful. We've put up pretty good fights in both of these games and blown multiple leads. Hard not to feel negative about the series. We're a different team at home so I've still got some hope... but being a super realist or cynic is understandable imo.

The reason the team blows large leads is because the bench is unplayable. The GM is responsible for putting together a good bench.
