Beal should of driven more to the rim instead of shooting bricks. When Beal get's to the rim he is tough to stop.

The series is only starting. The Celtics started 0-2 at home against the Bulls and won. Anything can still happen.

Epic game, messieurs. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

Personally I think the Wizards will lose in 7 at this point. But to call the series "over" as if we weren't one FT away from winning this one screams of the bipolar nature of this board.

The thing is...they just played good D on Beal. He played poorly because the Celtics strategy and effort on stoping him were top notch.

Watch the game film.

In DC Bradley needs to sell calls like Thomas did at the end of regulation.

They were allowed to play Brad physically. They set a ton of illegal screens and they grabbed him to keep him from flaring out for open shots..on top of defending Beal excellently!

I expect Beal might drop 40 plus next game but today he was the goat.

He's shooting 30% from 3pt in the postseason. Sure, I wouldn't give up on the 3 but some nights you just don't have it.

Def a foul. Might need to call em out publicly and try to elicit a fine for anything to change however. Otherwise being like "hey man they be grabbing us" isn't going to change a damn thing.

The game right there. If the refs don't call that Phantom foul, we win and everyone talks about how resilient we are

Well, the Wizards still had a chance.

Iso ball and gator arms shot followed.

They got bailout but we still choked it away IMO. Also, not letting Porter get another look after he hit the clutch three is on John and Brad and MOST OF ALL Brooks.

The last shot should have been a Porter layup or a Porter three.

The C's know how to foul and make it not look like a foul. They are smarter than the Wizards in that regard.

We have no bench. Period. Nada. Nothing. Zero. You cant win without a bench.

On the HDTV it looks like fouling.

Refs just cheated their way this game.

Wizards got their fair share of calls too. Let's not pick one play and harp on it. This is the playoffs and you won't get all the whistles.

Its pretty bad when the other team's fans are generally the more supportive of the Wizards in our game thread.

Only thing you can really do is bring the double late on a switch and hope to recover fast enough to shooters.

In DC, I would bring a bench player no one on Boston ever heard of off the bench to post up Thomas.

McClellan or Burke or Satoransky would be instructed to ugly up the game. Refs are going to call fouls, regardless. So, bump him and foul him Jordan rules hard.

Take his energy like the C's have taken John and Brad's. Lots of hand fighting.

Satoransky should also be playing. play all the perimeter defenders that you have. **** it play McClellan, he can defend also. you have to go smaller to guard these guys.

The single biggest difference between the Wizards and Boston IMO is coaching.

I think the biggest difference is that they have a bench and we don't.

Can't ask Wall to play the entire game. Man, Jennings can't do ANYTHING? He can't give Wall 10 minutes of quality rest?

No, but Satoransky could.

I dislike Brooks as much as the next guy, but Wall was done tired, mostly cause his backups are trash. Part of that trash is the fact Brooks lacks an ounce of trust or creativity with young guys. Stevens doesn't, he got good minutes from youth and they rewarded him. Brooks is however, playing the cards EG and company gave em. Its also EG's fault for hiring an overrated coach and thinking he would mask his own overall retardedness. These losses are part of a systemic problem.

Brooks gives plenty of chances to young guys (or bench players) who have an ounce of talent. He can groom them well. His track record is proof.
What is wrong here is that the folks behind Wall and most all other positions are HUGE drop offs in talent. They tend to be worse than the bench of the opponent. You just cant manage/coach your way out of the problem of having no bench.

He's been terrible with the rotation all year.

He went with a Jennings-Wall-Oubre-Smith-Gortat lineup with our first subs tonight. How do you defend that stupidity?

He literally would leave a lineup in after a timeout, Stevens would go small and torch us and Brooks would have to sub a player in to go back small. He's a step behind every game.

Satoransky and Mcclelan are both better than Jennings and Bogdonavic . If you wanna blame Ernie because he acquired those guys, that's fine with me, but Brooks is a major problem as well

He shot 5 of 7 from the line i would rather he drives to the rim vs Celtics when Bradley all over him it would open up his game even more.

Best post I've seen on here in a long time. This guy gets it.

That was better said but EXACTLY what I've been trying to say. Their coach is creating and trusting young guys.

People keep saying our bench sucks.

I think the particular combos Brooks is locked onto are the problem. He is more the problem than the bench IMO. He's coaching poorly!!!
