Mahinmi update - not good news, but at least it's not outright bad news:

There's no way a playoff team with legitimate aspirations could entrust this guy to stay healthy an entire season and be a starting C.

I was open to moving Gortat in the off-season, but now not so much.

I'm all for trading Gortat especially if he plays like he did in the last two months of the season. He seems to be turning it on for the playoffs, but still...he's def declining.

Gortat has been terrific in two games but let's not put him in the HOF. He's going up against a guy who is playing about the same energy level as a corpse. As for Mahinmi, you know there was no way he was going to play in Game 4. Every Wiz injury goes longer than projected time. Might as well not play him in the entire series. Hopefully it goes no longer than 5.

Trump likes the poorly educated, Ernie likes the often injured.

It's not so much that Gortat is playing well in the playoffs as it is about Mahinmi's availability. We trade Gortat, who's replacing him? It better be someone that can start b/c Mahinmi has been injury prone much of his career and he isn't getting any younger.

The weight loss is good, but time spent rehabbing again is time away spent working yourself into game shape. The weight loss won't help his nonexistent offensive game either.

Don't trade Gortat just yet.

Maybe change the title of the thread if it's going to be used generally to discuss Mahinmi's injuries?

Mahinmi is Lorenzo Williams all over again, only with a relatively much worse long term deal.

Lo Williams only appeared in 33 games over 4 seasons. IIRC he signed for a guaranteed 7 years.

The culmination of three years worth of planning, Mahinmi, the crown jewel of our diligent front office.

I think when it's all said and done Mahinmi will play 80 games

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Don’t look now but bpm rates Mahinmi as the Wizards 2nd best player thru 6 games.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/WAS/2018.html

(Scroll down to advanced and sort by bpm. It also rates Porter as a MVP candidate)

Whoa, Wall is the 5th worst starter by that metric.
