I like randle as a starter. He's a little inconsistent and injury prone, but has moments that he looks like a star.

Paul needs to pull a Westbrook this game, but he can't.

Gosh, lot can happen here on out in a series but if San Antonio loses in the second round again, particularly if it isn't close, you have to think R.C. Bufford starts re-evaluating his strategy. Not saying blow it up or anything (they did win 61 games) but maybe don't pick up over the hill free agents like David Lee and finally let Manu ride off into the sunset or something. San Antonio isn't about that second round exit life.

What was San Antonio doing?

Looking at the stats, one has to feel like Houston is really cheating. You're not supposed to just take stupid 3s all game long and still live at the line the whole game.

Also: 4 points for LMA? Is he really that done?!

They are such a weird team to evaluate. You look at their roster and you go 'Leonard is clearly the best guy; Aldridge has been kinda meh this season and the rest is either guys you have never heard of or players well beyond their prime'. And still they go out and have a +10 SRS or something.
Crazy.

They've been so good for so long, but its hard not to wonder if they need to get more athletic. Tony Parker for instances is moving only slightly faster than dudes you see hooping at the YMCA.

Crazy.

Aldridge has never been as good as his reputaton. in his best seasons his prime value was basically volume scoring on bad to mediocre efficiency. His reputation was based on big box numbers in the playoffs, but his scoring efficiency dropped even more he was just shooting 20+ times per night.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Reading what Raps fans are saying about Casey, I'm seeing some striking Donovan similarities. Poor Raps fans.

So it is possible to not have Williams - Gordon - Nene go off on you. :(

Yeah, if you don't defend the pick and roll like a bunch of morons.

Or if you have a single average defender on the 2nd unit.

There's not a team in the league that can take more than two games from the warriors.

I watched that game and had to write a recap on it and I'm now on the "trade everyone over the age of 25 for 2019 picks and make a roster of D-Leaguers" train.

A team of four all stars, two of the top 5 players in the NBA, is unbeatable. If Presti wants to get ahead of the game, build for the time when Golden State passes their peak.

KD killed the league with that move. All we have left is LeBron whooping his ass once again.

I just don't think Kyrie and Love elll be enough help for them to do it. Can lebron opt out this yesr? I wish he would just go to San Antonio and plays for pops. Maybe bring Chris Paul there too. That would shut down the warriors.
