You take what you can get. If you always snub players because they're aren't Duncan, you're going to be waiting a lifetime before you find a player whom you really like.

I understand that. What I meant was close to what Prok said below. I just never thought he would be able to fill the vacancy left by Duncan with his game in a way that would keep Spurs a contender. He played worse this year than his first year with Spurs also.

Oh yeah...I agree. I never thought he was a natural fit but he was the best talent fit available at the time and the Spurs aren't trying to waste Kawhi's prime (even though I don't think he's reached his prime years yet, which is pretty scary).

Can we officially give Kyle Lowry the deron williams p*ssy hurt award? Dude conveniently disappears and suffers from various maladies in playoff games like the bitchass himself. Smh good luck to the sucker GM that pays him

Raptors peaked already. No top 10 players on their roster.

Both him and DeRozan were embarrassing.

Kyle Lowry was never the star player that goes beyond his stat line. But to not play on a day by day ankle tweak injury twice in a row during the playoff is pretty character defining.

Is it a bad thing I thought he was overrated since last year's embarrassing postseason numbers? He's never been good in the playoffs as a Raptor. Never.

The only reason he looked remotely good against us was because Deron is soft and couldn't consistently compete against him. Swept vs Washington right after we began rebuilding, squeaked out series wins vs Indiana and Miami (no Bosh). Doubt they get past Milwaukee with Jabari Parker. I don't see what the fuss was about with the Raptors in the first place. They were and always have been a regular season team. Their team had a regular season mindset.

PJ Tucker mentioned in a post game interview that the Raps locker room kept saying it wasn't a big deal they lost Game 1 vs Milwaukee. It's their "thing" to comeback and win in Game 2 and Tucker responded "no, no, no. I don't accept that."

This series vs Cleveland was karma for all that nonsense that annoying fan base was talking for the past three years about Raps in 4. Two sweeps in 3 years is something not even the Deron era Nets accomplished.

Humble pie in Toronto... and with a little maple syrup on the side.

IS anyone else mad that Ryan Anderson turned out to be a pretty good NBA player?

And we traded him for the right to swap Vince Carter for Courtney Lee?

LOL. Classic Nets.

I don't really think thats fair.

Lowry plays hard in the regular season and he lead them to 2 wins over the Cavs in the ECF last year.

Lebron went into God Mode this playoffs and Lowry was legitimately injured.

Deron on the other hand, NEVER once had a good regular season and was ALWAYS trash in the Playoffs. Despite having more talent on his team than Lowry.

The best we could do with him was barely scrape by the Raptors in the 1st round. Which he honestly had nothing to do with.

Yes, key word is regular season. His Per 36 has been trending downward since going up against Deron.

Vs Nets - 19/4/4 40/39/.567 TS%

Vs WSH - 13/6/4 30/21/39.6 TS%

Vs IND/MIA/CLE - 18/4/5 39/30/50.8 TS%

The Raps have a terrible supporting cast around DeRozan and Lowry but he's not showing any true superstar moxy. He doesn't honestly look any different to Deron Williams in the playoffs. Especially, that Chicago series.

I think Sean Marks will make a pitch to meet with him in free agency but Lowry is not a first option player.

Well Deron was just a dog who didn't try and ruined the franchise.

Lowry just seems to be a guy who can't preform in big moments.

I just think there's an important difference there.

That Carter trade takes a solid 3rd behind Billy King's two disasters. Hated that trade with a passion, it didn't help that Courtney Lee was such a bitch

^Wasn't that trade before King got here?

I agree though Lee was such a bitch, I remember him sulking when we traded for him.

Ahh my bad, I misinterpreted what you posted. I thought you meant it as that was King's 3rd worst trade

LOL Courtney Lee sucked. He even talked about how he upset he was about the trade in a recent interview.

Bro get over it. The Magic were trash anyway. They never did anything again after 2009.

Toronto just doesn't have what it takes for the playoffs and it shows up every year. Derozan is not good enough to be the man and everyone except Tucker and Ibaka is soft.

Lowry couldn't wait to get out of there.
