Neither Conference Final will.
But meh, I thought this Celtics team was a 2nd round exit at best. If they win one more game and make the ECF, that will surpasses my, and many Celtics fans, expectation for the season.
None of us seriously thought we'd win a title or even make the Finals. Being in the final four is a success for the future growth of this team.
I think Boston, Toronto, and Washington are all the same. At the start of the playoffs I thought Toronto was slightly better than Boston and Washington but 2-3-4 are interchangeable. I think that is still the case.
Well that's not true, considering the Celtics got the #1 seed while the other two ended up #3 and #4.
It especially won't be true if the Celtics beat the Wiz and then get a game or more against the Cavs, where the "interchangeable" Raps got swept.
I get what you're trying to say, but it's pretty obvious by this point the Celtics are the best of that closely regarded group. If the Wiz win in 7, then we can talk.
Nothing to talk about there...Raps got dealt with via the broom...essentially...
If the Celtics beat the Wiz then its 4th place raptors, 3rd place Wiz and the Celtics need to decide their own destiny against the Cavs. If the Wiz beat the Celtics and then its 4th place Raptors, 3rd place Celtics and then the Wiz can decide how they should be judged in the east or beyond!
But I dont see the celtics or wizards getting swept---all the while paying homage to Lebron like the raptors did. Casey, Derozen and Lowery sounded like Lebron was MJ! It wasnt paying respect...it was something else insidious that you should never hear from elite alpha males in thier primes when talking about thier competition. It sounded a lot like fear and acceptance that they were not on Lebrons level...they didnt talk about the Cavs...they didnt say we got beat by a better team...they said LEBRON IS TOO MUCH..weak...if you recall, when Jordan gave the Celtics 63 in a playoff game and LarryLegend said
The final score was
There is a difference between respect and deference ...in competition winners never show thier opponents deference
