Austin Ainge's late comment about where do you project Yabusele as a player is telling: We don't know.
It really is just impossible to say with him. There are several reasons to be very enthusiastic about Yabs, and a few to be cautious. He's got a terrific skill and physical package. He's also fairly short for his position and needs to adapt to the huge jump in talent in the NBA.
Having a big ass adds 2 inches to your height because it just pushes offensive player further from basket and wider obstacle to get around on rebounds. Then you add in wing span and I don't think height will be an issue. He may have even less of an issue than Milsap or Draymond Green.
I see the biggest limitation to his future to be his foot speed. Unlike Sully, he is a fitness freak but he still carries similar weight. Also, he has to be a decent 3 point shooter to be all that he could be.
Summer league is going to be crazy fun to watch this year.
I just see him as being a can't miss plus player even if his ceiling is as a role player. If he can achieve Milsap like skill with his size and length though - wow what a player they have drafted.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
