Why is Offense So Down This Year?
I've been thinking this for a while, it's weird. Last year it seemed every player was having a career year offensivly and from every team we heard the same thing, they can hit but cannot pitch. This year it is the opposite, every player seems to be having a down year, and teams are now complaining they have no hitting rather than pitching.
Look at teams like Boston,Toronto,Chicago White Sox last year who were all great offensivly, now suddenly offense is a struggle for them, and look at certain stars such as Ramirez,Ortiz,Wells,Konerko,Dye etc. who are all suddenly having off years after great years last year.
I remember hearing last year people say that the ball was juiced, which is kindof interesting cuz that could explain a lot...

When the Florida "connection" was busted it was reported that at that time 10 million dollars worth of HGH was being shipped tp New Jersey alone.
That would seem to curtail some athletes from getting theirs AND, IMO, make others worry about a evidence trail if they attempted to purchase some elseware.

I find it laughable how when this story of the Florida Connection bust broke, it was all supposed to finally come out how and who was taking these PHD's but in reality, was swept under the rug. Giambi wants to talk... and New MLB brass man Frank Robinson says he "should shut his mouth" and his "talk" to Mitchell was somehow narrowed to only Giambi's own use. What? He wants to talk, MLB wanted him to talk, Let him Talk!!!
When will we find out the Truth?...Can't we handle the Truth?...Do we deserve the Truth? After all, this isn't government secrets we are talking about here.
SELIG for Tar and Feathers...

That's part of the problem. Nobody knows for sure who is taking them and everybody wants to believe that their favorite team members aren't involved.
It's not at all like like a guy getting a sack of grass from the dude on the corner. PHD use starts in our high school and college teams, this country and others. Ever hear of the term "We need you to play ball with us here?" I have, and there is "no Grey area" There are always pressure's to perform. Some self imposed and some are certainly team induced. PHD's have been around a long time. Consider this statement below.

It's funny because as enjoyable as it is to watch as a fan, the game actually got boring. Especially after last night's game and the horrible display of defense and pitching that the D-Rays put on.

I don't think any team is void of the steroid cloud.
Personally I'd like to think the M's didn't have anyone on the juice but watching Brett Boone on a nightly basis for a couple years you couldn't help but to notice.
Heck I think in 2001 he hit more dongs going oppo than he did pulling them. At least it seemed that way. And he is pretty small in stature yet he is/was ripped.
I agree with the previous poster to think that your home town team isn't using is really living life through rose color glasses.
P.S. You're favorite college football team and basketball team finds a way to pay their players too.
