San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers, 7-21-07, 2:55 PM

Image vs Image

Records at Glance: Brewers: 54-42, 1st NL Central; Giants: 40-54, 5th NL West

TV: MLB on FOX
Radio: 620 WTMJ

Image
Tim Lincecum, RHP (4-2, 4.37)

Image
Dave Bush, RHP (8-7, 4.84)

Scouting Report

Giants: Lincecum has recorded four consecutive quality starts, most recently a 6 1/3-inning effort on Monday at Chicago. Making his Wrigley Field debut, Lincecum sparkled by allowing just two hits and striking out eight, faltering only when Koyie Hill led off the third inning with a home run. Lincecum has allowed four runs in 26 1/3 innings in this four-start stretch. The rookie also has 33 strikeouts and 12 walks in this span.

Brewers: Bush continued to roll in his last start, tossing six effective innings in a win over the D-backs. He surrendered three solo home runs but only two other singles, and improved to 5-1 in his past six outings, including one relief stint. Bush has surrendered more than three runs only once in his past six starts after deciding to pitch more consistently inside on hitters instead of focusing low and away. The adjustment seems to have worked.

Injury Report

Giants
Mike Matheny -- see Corey Koskie
Eliezer Alfonzo -- 60-day DL (left knee sprain)
Russ Ortiz -- 15-day DL (strained right forearm)

Brewers
Ben Sheets -- 15-day DL (sprained middle finger)
Bill Hall -- 15-day DL (high ankle sprain)
Elmer Dessens -- 15-day DL (who gives a damn)
Corey Koskie -- Eternal-day DL (never playing again)

Giants Probable Lineup:
CF Dave Roberts
SS Omar Vizquel
RF Randy Wynn
LF Barry Bonds
1B Ryan Klesko
C Bengie Molina
2B Rich Aurillia
3B Pedro Feliz
P Tim Lincecum

Brewers Probable Lineup:
RF Corey Hart
SS JJ Hardy
3B Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
C Johnny Estrada
LF Geoff Jenkins
2B Tony Graffanino
CF Tony Gwynn
P Dave Bush

Captain Erv's Thoughts: I have to admit, I, like many others, was disgusted with last nights loss. Probably due to the fact that we made one of the worst teams in baseball look like world beaters and also because the Cubs just keep coming. Anyway, another chance at the national spotlight, which worked out well last time (Cubs game). These next two games are must wins. period.

Cubs lose. A win would be nice here.

looks like we will be lucky to scratch three hits off Lincecum today. We are just going up there and hacking at everything.

It's the Brewer way. Hack and hope it goes far when you hit it.

That trivia question is a lot better than the questions we get on Brewers Live lol.

I'll take one guess even though I have no idea. This one just popped in my head, Orel Herschieser?? I don't know the other one.
