He is impossible to trade. Any package worth trading him for would never be offered and any reasonable package worth offering would never be accepted

Exactly. No team with assets (e.g. Celtics and the Sixers) is going to gut its team for a player. Injuries are common for bigs, so if he goes down, then what? We will still have Embiid, who is injury prone. I prefer keeping Simmons and the picks and other assets and hope one turns out just as good. Unlikely, but it is too risky to bank everything on one player. Better to build through the draft, and try to attract All Star level talent in free agency once the team starts winning, and only get rid of the players (e.g. Okafor) who have no long-term future at the club.

This is like asking what someone would trade for LeBron.... unless he signs with your team it's not happening.

A trade for Giannis sounds ridiculous. Like others have said, no chance this is happening for a long time at the very least.

As long as we don't have to take dellevedova too. Because then I'm out.

And yet Cleveland still traded LeBron to Miami

He signed with Miami...it was jut worked that way to get him more $. That type of deal is literally impossible in the new CBA because players don't benefit from it and therefore would never agree to it any more so your point is moot. But sure, whatever helps you sleep better at night.

LeBron is the most valuable trade asset in the league despite his age. He means instant contention.

He's really not. Age and contractual situation go a long way towards that. These 1+1s kill his outgoing value.

There are two truly untouchable players in the league, LeBron and Steph. Every team would literally trade away ALL of their top assets for the opportunity to sign either for even a one year deal.

To say that Giannis or Jokic or KAT are even in that conversation yet is beyond laughable

No, there is a chance. The Bucks would trade Giannis in two seconds for LeBron, Curry and probably Durant. The inverse has no chance.

I definitely don't think they'd trade giannis for curry.

Curry is getting old and Milwaukee isn't a contender with just curry. On top of that he's about to make almost $50m a year while giannis is locked into a cheap long term deal

I don't think this is true at all. Curry has a PO, so the only way you could make this trade is if he opts in and then you have one year to try to convince him to re-sign. Same is basically true for Lebron, who has a PO after next year. Odds of retaining either of those guys seem very, very low. As good as Curry and Lebron are, they wouldn't win a champion in year one. Gianns is locked in and wants to be there. The only trades that I think the Bucks really consider right now are for packages around Davis and Towns, and (again right now) they would ask for additional assets.

may be a bit of a crack deal but

2nd/Russell + Ingram for Giannis

Its a ridiculous price to pay but it may actually be worth it in the end

So they walk at the first chance?

Bucks are not trading Giannis. But this is the trade that makes you take notice. 7 first round picks including two top 5 picks Jaylen Brown, Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley.

That trade would be tough to turn down.

This is the only kind of trade I see that is even remotely possible to get the Bucks to not hang up the phone immediately. Id take the #1 this year, the #3 last year in Brown, two good NBA players in crowder and Bradley, + a likely top 5 pick next year, and 5 more first rounders. Of course that will never happen.

Giannis has the most trade value in the league. No single player gets Giannis in return. Not KAT, not LeBron, not Curry, Durant, kawhi, AD, etc. etc.
