Not at all.

He acknowledged during his rant that it was an issue in the past (referring to Bowen and other's who were notorious for doing the same thing) and the league wanting to stamp it out for years.

And lets be real, he is sending a message to the league, as well as the refs, but most of all, he is standing up for his team so they can rally behind something. This is what a great coach does, they attempt to use any sort of mental motivation tactics to the advantage of their team.

all true...and it's still the epitome of hypocrisy

Kind of but not really. It specifically should be out of the game, for a while now.

I can see where you wouldn't pick the Spurs as the messenger, but it was their guy who got hurt.

League saying I guess it was fine.

If Boston wins all of it's home games they will win the series. :D

Thank you for doing the math research on that one.

Yeah, except I didn't say Bulls fans would pick LeBron over Jordan, so thank you for your contributions.

We may not have swept the Celtics even with a healthy Rondo, but I think even a significant amount of Celtics fans would admit that we would have eventually won that series if we had a healthy team. And yet here we are, well into our fishing break, while the Celtics go to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Sometimes it's tough being a sports fan.

How does having Rondo stop the Celtics adjusting to different PNR schemes and moving Green into the lineup? Horford still kills our bigs in PNR, Green still is spacing the floor so we can't cover.

We still lose. Rondo played one great game.

b2b years overachievers facing lebron in the ecf, but when you really look at the east its not like any team really stood out outside of Cleveland anyway.

This is going to sound like tooting my own horn (it is), but also to show how underrated Beals reputation changed over the course of the last few years - back when Niko actually had value around the league, I think this was Rose and Jo's final year, I was clamouring for a deal like Niko/1st for Beal. I even went to the Wiz board and they were on board. At the time, Beal was considered a ticking time bomb with his injuries, somewhat questionable efficiency wise, and about to be overpaid on what could become an albatross contract. Now look at him.

The other take away from this series - Boston is now an ECF team. If they look even remotely respectable against Cleveland, I think the chances of them pushing for a Butler/George deal increase dramatically. You can already see Boston RealGM fans chomping at the bit to go all in where they previously thought it wasn't worth it. Be worth keeping an eye on, especially if the Brooklyn pick falls from 1st spot.

Tonight was a good night for me and the blow it up crowd. The closer Boston gets to the finals, the closer they get to trading for Butler.

Probably true. Wonder if they'd give up that BKN pick if it was #1 overall. My guess is no, and that would be a deal breaker for me.

I have no gauge on this, but I'm worried that they land the number 1 pick and decide to keep it. They land 2-4, I think that's seriously in play.

But, as I said, I have no idea what Danny is thinking. He could do anything and I'm extremely envious of their position.

It definitely may make Danny more interested in a trade, but from our perspective it makes me want to retool for the playoffs. The Celtics are truly a beatable team, yet they're in the ECF.

Only if they don't win the lottery. I can see Ainge keeping that pick if it means Fultz. So let's keep those fingers crossed. Image

Read on Twitter

Not as good as the Brady/Goodell one, but this is still pretty funny.

I thought the play was not legal, regardless of intent. But maybe it wasn't, or the league is saying that is no longer a dangerous play.

He injured Niko on the same thing though, also in the playoffs. He knows what he is doing.

If they get the #1 pick, they could still draft Fultz and trade for Butler/George after the Free Agent market plays out.

With an ECF berth (combined with how they play the Cavs), I'm sure they'll be pretty appealing to FAs. And say they are able to add a major piece, they'll be able to have their cake and eat it too.
