Kennard's shooting numbers are absolutely ridiculous last year, one of the best seasons of any college player ever. He had an offensive rating of 127.3, his teammate Tatum for a comparison was like a 107. He can create his own shot as well as spot up from anywhere on the floor. Obviously he's not very athletic and his defense could use some work, but I don't think he's a bad option at 11 at all considering how desperately we need wing scoring.

Wouldn't be mad if we picked him. Could have a few years of korvers all star season in him, mixed with some reddick due to wingspan.

JJ could be a spot on comparison, however aside from them both being white guys I don't get the Korver comparison. Kyle is 6'7 with a 6'9 wingspan. If Luke had those measurements all of us would be drooling over him.

Their collegiate numbers are close but all things being equal 4/5 shooting impacts spacing more than 2/3 shooting. Also keep in mind Markkanen was 19 at Arizona and 16 to 19 during FIBA action.

I'd bet almost anything he's gone by 11.

A unathletic shooting guard with only a 6'4 wing span is not going top 10 in an alledgedly deep draft.

If we want Kennard, then #11 is too high. This would be a scenario where we should trade back and pick up an extra asset. I don't mind him but there are many other players I'd select before him st our current position.

Believe he was talking about Markanen.

Citing age 16 FIBA stats felt like a pretty straight forward tell.

I don't think it's unfathomable Lauri lasts until 11. I think all that needs to happen is Collins goes ahead of him, which isn't unfathomable at all. Or maybe some team like the Kings falls in love with some other random talent and they decide to reach a bit, which is also good for us. Like, I don't think this top 10 is unrealistic:

1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. Fox
4. Jackson
5. Tatum
6. Smith
7. Isaac
8. Monk
9. Ntilikina
10. Collins

That top 10 combo is not unrealistic at all I don't think. I like Collins just as good as Lauri though

I think we could use Kennards offensive game and ability to drive and score. He is only 20, pretty thick already and was an all state Ohio QB, more athletic then people think. That release is super fast and he is open even when he is not open. 11 is a little high though. Wouldn't mind it if we reached anyway.

Don't we already have luke kennard on the roster in Bellanelli. That is probably his ceiling with Stauskas as his floor.

Having a young Beli/JJ on the roster would be fine. Shooting is a critical skill in today's NBA.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Who would turn down a 20 year old Beli that only costs a couple million a year for the next five years?

Right!
Plus, I think that Belinelli may be Kennard's floor not his ceiling. Kennard can dribble and finish with tough to block pull ups and off angle lay ups much better then Marco. Lastly, he is a lefty and it could help open up the floor. If no one drops unexpectedly, I think that Kennard would be a good pick up.

If we were picking at #20? nobody. at #11, we're hopefully looking at more than a career journeyman role player.

I don't know whether Kennard is more than that, since I don't know this draft, but if he's not, then forget about him, even though we need a three-point marksman. We need someone who can be a legit #2 guy behind Kemba.
