I disagree. He handles the ball much better than "some". The key to this guy is he has multiple strengths on both sides of the ball. Plus, he's the perfect fit for need next to Towns. All the stars are aligning up in our favor. Like I say, don't over-think it.

If he had these handles he would use them to get to the basket, he usually just ends up settling for jumpers if he has the ball in his hands. I've been aboard the Isaac bandwagon longer than most, but handles are not his strength, but i'm not saying he is Wes Johnson bad at dribbling either. We don't need him to handle the ball on offense. Spot up, or move without the ball. If you can find more than a handful of examples of him using his handle to get the rim, especially in the half court, I would be surprised.

Don't be so narrow minded. I never said he dribbled better than Magic! I DID say he has above average to high level skills on both sides of the ball including his handle, shooting, defense etc. Who else has that at a position of need AND might just drop into our lap if were lucky?

No need to get defensive. I never said you made that comparison. He just isn't the dribbler you make him out to be. It is like the only question he has about his offense.

His handle is poor. It's a limiter for the time being. Though that's certainly something that can improve with work.

It must be you have a hard time understanding my overall gist on the guy to only talk about dribbling. I think most understand why I think he's a good choice.

No, you are clearly just defensive about someone disagreeing with you.

You said point guard skills. He doesn't, he doesn't use his handle to get to the rim, his assist numbers are low. Not sure what you think I'm not understanding here. If these things you post are true, it would show, but they don't. You keep implying that I'm disagreeing with drafting him when that clearly isn't the case, but you are wrong about his dribbling and "pg skills."

Doesn't Bjelica have PG skills? Why are his assists so low?

Bjelica averages and extra assist per game minutes adjusted. He also has a good chunk lower usage than Isaac.

You are right, they said those things would hold him back from being a GOAT contender.

Big difference, but you already know that don't you.

If they like Ntilikina they could take a forward/wing. The way the King blowed up last season they are probably going to tank a couple of seasons. If that is the case they should take high risk/high reward moves. Ntilikina is that type of guy. Markannen is another OFC.

I mean they take Isaac and one of remained PG later.

You can look a little bit higher on the draft

Phi need a pg too, i think they really can take Fox , in this way on 10 pick King won't see any PG for them. (NY and Dallas need a PG too). If Fox at 5 is available King must take him and bpa on 10.

But Wesley was 23 YO and Isaac is 19. Wes also played in Syracuse program which is known for boost defensive box score stats for playing zone heavily. Even then I don't think he had the bck, stl and reb% Isaac has.

The guys isnt int he level that Jackson or Tatum are as playmakers. Those guys can play ISO (especially tatum) and distribute a lot better than Isaac. But Isaac had a spurt growth and I think part of his potential (which could or not happen) is regarding being a initiator, at least in fastbreak opportunities. There was a play where he split a P&R. I know is only one play and shouldnt be taken too serious, but how many 6'10-6'11 guys do you remember doing that?

Isaac is beginning to grow on me. He might be not as raw as I initially thought, and his positional fit with our current team and his upside could be worth it. Uptempo style basketball with KAT/Isaac/Wiggins/Zach/Rubio? I think I'd take it

Yeah, his ability to distribute and create is potential at this point. He could rebound and push the break, but everything else is just plays here and there, like him splitting pick and rolls. Like I said, find more than a handful of plays where he uses his handle to get to the rim and pass or score for himself. He scores in spot ups, moving without the ball. When he dribbles he pulls up for mid range shots or turn around shots. Lets just not oversell his abilities.

I have strong deja vu about Donovan Mitchell. He reminds me CJ McCollum. I'd trade Aldrich for DeMarr Caroll contract + #23, if we can draft Mitchell at 23.

I like Mitchell, but he doesn't remind me of CJ McCollum, he's way more explosive and a much worse shooter.

No way Donovan Mitchell will be there at 23.
