Very interesting to think that Bud offered 4 #1s and Indy still has an issue trying to keep him.
Let me turn this around: Would you move Sap for 2-3 #1s to Indy to show George he needs to stay and get +75M more than the next best offer?
Was anyone aware of the Hawks' offer to get Paul George last TD?

We heard that they offered at least 3 firsts for either Butler or George and I was really hoping it was for Butler (better player imo, longer contract, less of a flight risk).
I'd really like to know what the protections in place were. I assume (hope) that two of the picks offered were Cleveland's 2019 and the Minnesota one. If there wasn't any protection then this had the potential to be Brooklyn 2.0 if Millsap and George both bolted when given the opportunity.

Yeah...we were aware:

The Hawks' pitches for PG-13 and Butler excluded core players. Asked if three first-rounder picks were offered , one source said: "More."

I don't have a huge problem with the Hawks making the offer since only 2 of those picks would more than likely be the Hawks own pick. The Cavs and Minny picks would have probably been including.
What this does is throw it out there that the Hawks are looking to make a moves with those picks. Let's see what other teams comes knocking.

My thoughts exactly. PG or Butler would have been a step in the right direction at least. Not getting either at least opens up discussions with other team to make some moves. Probably wouldn't get a star name player, but something that could help, or maybe offload Baze/Howard.
