I was saying for weeks that IT wouldn't get his bullcrap calls when faced against LeBron. Dude is a negative if he can't score. He has no intangibles.

It is like every star in the league has it's own set of rule exceptions, and it just depends who the bigger star is when two teams meet, because he gets his calls while Thomas wonders why he was called for traveling for the first time in PO.

SMH...The Celtics hit all those 3s and played some defense in the first 2 rounds just to go on vacation against the Lebrons. The Lebrons are not even playing hard. Brad Stevens sounds like he is a fanboy of the opposing team.

There's still a good deal of games left. IT hasn't laid down his best yet. Avery Bradley hasn't laid down his best yet.

Boston is poised to be scary and dominate the NBA for years. IT is a near MVP talent, they have a max contract with an amazingly competitive team with an amazing supporting cast, #1 pick this year, and likely #1 next year.

They could surprise the Cavs like the Cavs surprised the Warriors last year.

Injuries have ruined every round of these playoffs. It's only a matter of time before the injury that ruins the finals comes.

Their season would've ended in the first round if Rondo didn't get injured. Karma is coming back to get them.

Thompson is so much better than your oversimplification

no, actually, he isn't. his defense is poor, he doesn't pass and he can't shoot. what am i missing?

again, how does the best player on the planet (arguably) play alongside 3 studs and they're not torching the league?

A: he doesn't play alongside 3 studs

His defense isn't poor. The fact that you think that means this argument will be pointless

better the past couple of years, anyway

And uh, they're 9-0 in the playoffs aren't they?

uh, their competition has been horrendous. every single game against a mediocre indy team went to the final minutes. then they faced a perennial playoff disappointment in the raptors, with lowry getting injured to start the 2nd half in game 2. that was the end of that series

this boston series is the only truly impressive accomplishment they've had. and boston's obviously not ready for prime time

You care too much about their regular season performance

no, i just don't think it's meaningless (as you apparently do)

don't even try to suggest that the Cs have any glimmer of hope. the series ended in the 2nd quarter of game 2

Boston is poised to be scary and dominate the NBA for years.

the east. dominate the east

IT is a near MVP talent

he's a score-first point guard who can't guard a paper bag. he's turned into an amazing scorer (in the regular season, at least), but c'mon

they have a max contract with an amazingly competitive team with an amazing supporting cast, #1 pick this year

you got the factual parts correct, anyway. amazingly competitive...? not at the moment

and likely #1 next year.

:noway:

They could surprise the Cavs like the Cavs surprised the Warriors last year.

Huh? So you're saying if Thompson was so good, then the Cavs would torch teams in the regular season. But since they're only torching teams in the playoffs, then it's an issue of competition? I don't get you

The Cavs are obviously playing with much better defensive sets that we didn't see in the regular season. They're a +60 win team disguised as a week 2 seed.

you're really twisting logic into a pretzel

saying that thompson is not a great player and that their competition in the playoffs has been soft have nothing to do with each other other than that they both explain the results that we see.

great teams don't coast to 50 win seasons in a weak conference, and teams with 4 great players (including one of the best to ever play the game) don't end up with 50 wins

The Cavs are obviously playing with much better defensive sets that we didn't see in the regular season. They're a +60 win team disguised as a week 2 seed.

so...they intentionally left out superior defensive sets, and yet they all expressed frustration with their defense toward the end of the regular season. acting?

why didn't they intentionally lose more games LAST season?

Nope.

And the NBA has never ever had parity, but they have never had 3 finals in a row with the same two teams. Adding to that, neither has even lost one stinking game.

Hey the finals might be a heavyweight matchup for the ages. A lot of more casual fans will watch after skipping most of the previous 'action'. So this current setup might be ideal for ABC, and maybe the NBA loved it, doesn't seem a boon for TNT though.

Tldr; NBA not only may not think there is an issue, they may be loving this. No guess here.
