Our next All NBA player will be...

Post#1 » by theBigLip » Sat May 20, 2017 11:54 pm

So with the All NBA teams out, not surprisingly, there are no Pistons to be seen on any of the 3 teams. Will it be the same next year? The year after? I don't know, but I think we might have that person on our roster already. Curious as to who you think will be the next person to make any of the 3 All NBA teams.

I don't think there's anyone on our roster that will make a All NBA team in the next 2 years.

Probably someone we'll draft 10 years from now or more.

Sorry, pessimism at an all time high.

Whoever we draft once we realise tanking is the ONLY way for us to even consider being a contender again

I voted for Dre because Im trying to be optimistic despite everything I see.
If we can get a leader and playmaker, Dre will follow and look like an all star again.

I voted not on our roster. Dre could happen. That's it.
SVG should do anything possible to trade for one of the players on top 3 teams

I think the only one on our roster with potential to become all NBA is Dre. The others, at best, are all stars.

I voted for Dre. I also think KCP could get there but will have to really start bumping up the scoring, and the only way that happens is if we get a better distributor at PG.

You're aware the All NBA team is the top 15 players in the league, right? Paul George and Gordon Hayward didn't even make it. Saying KCP may make it, to me, is about the equivalent of saying Cutino Mobley should have been a perennial all star.

If Dre learns to defend I think he would have a legit chance, I think a lot of fans forget he is only 23.

He's young, but hasn't shown any kind of improvement on the defensive (or offensive) end to believe in much upside there. I'm really, really hesitant to put much stock into things all of a sudden just "clicking" for him. From what we can see on the court Andre doesn't have the mentality or will to turn things around either. Trade him while he has any sort of value left.

Actually I don't think it's unreasonable for Dre to make 3rd team (maybe KCP too someday) if he can improve a bit and just consistently play with great effort every night. I was originally reading the question as 1st team all NBA.

I don't know if it is that much of a stretch. But he would have to start getting 20-25ppg.
