This is for your mock offseason thing right? So I assume we'd be giving up Bledsoe for what you said was Lin, RHJ, and the pick you're asking about? I don't know if I'd do that personally, I think we could do better. I'm not a big RHJ fan, Lin is a step back from Bledsoe without solving any problems, and a mid-20s pick doesn't have the high enough chances of being productive.
But to answer your question, going off who DX has projected in the 20s I like Isaiah Hartenstein and Jonathan Jeanne for us as center projects, especially if we move on from Len. Hamidou Diallo would also be a pretty interesting pick that fits the young, long, athletic, tough defensive mold that we've been adding to the team, especially if his shot has improved while he was practicing with Kentucky. I like Evans, he's a good player and had an awesome game against Kansas at the end of the season, but he's a bit short and an average athlete, so I see him more likely as being a productive career backup PG. Kennard probably won't be around in the 20s, but he's a safe bet to be able to shoot and score the ball in the NBA and we could use that. I don't see a lot of upside in him between average athleticism, short wingspan, and bad defensive profile, which we have enough of.
Yes, it is, but besides Lin, RHJ and that pick, they'd take back Knight as well.
I was also offered Barton, Mudiay and Anunoby. Utah wants to offer Favors. I told them I would need some sort of PG coming back. And now I got offered that deal.
I agree that it seems like we could get a better deal for Bledsoe, but I am not sure that's the case after the draft. I think his value decreases. I guess the question is whether or not we are determined to give Bledsoe his next deal. If that's the case, no reason to trade him. If not, I imagine deals will only get worse, particularly if he has any injury issues.
I wouldn't totally mind a lineup starting either Ulis, Booker, Warren, Chriss, Bender (or we could start out with Chandler) with a bench of say Lin, Kennard, RHJ, Tatum?, Williams
Scorers, shooters and a defensive wing on 2nd unit. Then we still have Dudley, Len, and our two second rounders.
