not sure why they pass on monk.

DSJ vs. frank :: betty vs. veronica

Betty got back but Veronica's eyes get me every time. Over time eyes never change but that backside sure does. Helllloooo Veronica.

Darn tough choice. Let's draft Monk then have a nice talk with Philly regarding Josh Jackson.

This is a tough one.

Im slightly leaning towards Frank, but I could change my mind towards Monk. Monk is no doubt the safer option, but Frank has more potential.

Like others have said though, I guess I wouldnt be mad with either. I want to see Monk attack the rim more often. The guy is athletic and doesnt showcase it enough. He settles for jumpers a little too often. Working on his dribble and attacking the rim with aggressiveness can make him an even better offensive threat. Getting to the ft line and averaging 4-5 fts a game would be huge for him. Efficiency and ft attempts can get him around 18-21 PPG, which would be fantastic since he doesnt need the ball in his hands. I dont see him being a perennial all-star, maybe a couple all-star appearances if the team is a #1 seed. But could become an extremely good role player and a glue guy on offense.

I took Frank...visible PG foundation which I didn't see from Monk (so I have him as an undersized 2 guard), best defender at his position, young even compared to his peers in the draft and he's coming from a quality league where other talented pro's have gotten their starts.
PG- Haliburton | Schroder | Sasser
SG- Grimes | Dick | Bogdanovic
SF- Bridges | George
PF- Hunter |Strus| Fleming
C- Turner | Powell | Wiseman

Monk
.
.
.
Because we are going to end up selecting a PG at some point later in the draft. But that's a piss poor excuse.
Damnit! Find out what Marc Cuban and his Dallas Mavericks want for the 9th pick and get it to him.
Let's get both of these guys here and find out what both would be in NY.

Honestly this poll should be done a week or 2 before the draft. Want to see how these players do in workouts etc.. but right now if
I were to choose I'm slightly leaning towards Frank.

Frank is relatively speaking my guy here. That Diallo kid.... He is supposed to have major upside, and teams don't let that make it to the 2nd round. With the Bucks getting Giannis and Thon, I 100% expect them to take Diallo if he is on the board. Similarly, I would be trying to do what I could on draft day to get an extra pick in the 14-16 range to get a chance at him. Could be the next Darius Miles, could be the next T-Mac.

If those were the remaining to guys (the poll options I mean), I'd go (in order of preference):

    - Nikita
    - Monk
    - Markannen (2 Porzingis are better than one! :D )
    - Zach Collins (I really like this guy's game)
    - Trade the Pick

Plus, we could name a drink after him. "I'll have a Zach Collins on the rocks, please."

How do people have Monk falling so far?? I'd be surprised if he's there and a definite no brainer to me. He balled all year.

Why would he end the poll at a pretty much 50% split? I wouldn't even know who to vote for as im 50% on both as well. Lol. I think either way, we will end up with a good player. I think our pick will be Frank though.

Orlando needs a #1 scoring option and reports are that Smith did well in his orlando workout. I'd be really surprised if they don't pick him at 6.

I have been on team frank for a while now but the one thing nagging me about passing up on Monk is the fact that the elite guards that play for calipari end up being really good nba pros too. rose, bledsoe, wall, jamal murray, tyreke evans, devin booker. but monk is 6'3 and 170 pounds at shooting guard with a short wingspan. The only 6'3 shooting guard I can think of that was really good was Ben Gordon but he started to decline at like 25 or 26 years old.

Baker and Monk could be a nice backcourt duo like Hinrich and Gordon were for those 5 years or so.

Monk has great offensive footwork RIGHT NOW!

He looks like he is going to be a great triple threat option RIGHT NOW.
