Re: Best offers for Klay
Alot of Raptor fans claim Demar is better than Klay, so what else you got to add to that deal?

Re: Best offers for Klay
I don't see the Warriors wanting to lose Klay. Klay continues to spread the floor with his shot and is an excellent defender, so he helps them on both sides. The only way I see a Klay trade happening is if he demands a trade himself, or if they see a can't miss opportunity (e.g., Anthony Davis).

Or if he regains his momentum and has value would be Burks, Hood, Lyles, and picks.
Ingles is cooked.

I would easily offer Crowder and our pick next year. Probably one of the stashes as well or Olynyk. I'm guessing Crowder is worth more than Bradley to them since he's locked up long term.

Re: Best offers for Klay
As a GSW fan, I would only consider Gary Harris and other assets as Harris is emerging as a strong perimeter shooter that is controllable long term.
Harris, Murray, Arthur, #13, 2019 1st.
Curry/Livingston/McCaw/
Harris/Murray/FA?
Durant/Iguodala/FA?
Green/Looney/Arthur
FA?/#13/Jones/

Re: Best offers for Klay
People keep saying the Warriors wouldn't move Klay for basketball reasons. Obviously. He and Curry are arguably the most important starting PG/SG duo in the league. It makes the entire thing, including Draymond work.
This isn't about the bball/on the court decision though. It's about having 4 players use up almost the entire cap if things stay as they are. If they keep things as is, they are going to need to fill in the rest of the roster with vet minimum contracts, which is possible. Or they deal KT now, bring in some young players on the rise (OP) while also funneling in even more draft picks. To give them that avenue, on top of vet min, on top of a middle tier signing as well.

Re: Best offers for Klay
I can't see the Warriors breaking up the team. I think they'll go into the luxury tax and spend big money as long they are strong title contenders. At some point age or injury will cause the team to drop back into being a normal playoff team (at which point I could see some big moves happening), but until then why would they want to make a change?

Yeah, I think they're good keeping things as is. Even without Klay, Warriors still won't have much money to throw around because of all of it going to Curry, Durant, and Green. IMO, Klay plus vet min guys filling out the roster is better than a middle tier guy, some rookies/young guys, and vet min guys.

Re: Best offers for Klay
Laker fans - What you think about Ingram and Randle for Klay?
I don't think we'll trade Klay either, but just wondering where Lakers fans would stand on that.
And no, no substituting Russel or Clarkson for Ingram.

Value isn't there in either scenario. And it doesn't help them financially at all. Say Favors re-signs. He will cost more than Klay for next couple years. Hood and Lyles will need to get paid soon. Even on 2nd contracts, added to Favors, costs way more than Klay alone.

Portland-Golden State
To portland:
Klay Thompson
To Golden State:
CJ McCollum
Noah Vonleh
15th Pick
Idk Vonleh could be alright on Golden State. 5 positions of shooting

in the context of this hypothetical conversation, you weasel. The thread exists based on the presumption that GSW moves KT to allow them to give Curry/KD their maxes while also having a little more roster and cap flexibility to fill in the bench then they would with Klay. Way to pick out one line of a post within the thread and remove context to troll, though.

We will have 4 stars going forward, as well as Iguodala and McCaw. We also have shown aggressiveness in buying picks (McCaw) when we find someone we like. Add all of that into bringing in vets who want to chase for a ring, and I think its fairly safe to say the idea that we'd deal Klay for flexibility is extremely unlikely at best. Our ownership has stated they have no problem paying the tax to be an elite team, so there's no reason for us to sell off one of our best players

Re: Best offers for Klay
Of the current offers, the only ones I'd be interested in value wise would Middleton/17 and Bradley/Crowder/BKN 1st 2018... Middleton is an excellent replacement for Klay, and the 17 gives us a chance to keep another rotation player on the cheap. The other deal is just a crazy amount of value and it's too tough to say no to that.
