Terrified about Kidd's trades most .... MCW, Vasquez were his calls.

Yes, last time Kidd drafted Vaughn ... terrible choice.

I believe we gonna trade someone Hammond didn't agreed to.

Many here including myself posted throughout this season that it looks like there was a war between Hammond and Kidd.

The Plumlee extension was probably Kidd pushing : "Don't let my starter C go. He dunked all Giannis lobs"

I want Kidd gone asap too, cause the Winner of the War is Hammond. Zero offers for Kidd, 5 year deal to Hammond.

Messina please.

Really bad news. We lost the GM who won last year's Draft Night by far ... Thon Maker and M.Brogdon ... amazing.

We should let him do what he is best at ... He is the the Draft Night King.

- I remember when Hambone gave a 29 year old coming off a veterans min Drew Gooden a 5 year deal
- I remember giving John Henson and Larry Sanders horrendous extensions
- I remember trading down in the first round 12 spots (and passing on Klay and KL) for the Stephan Jackson's services
- I remember the Corey Maggette experience
- I remember trading for Monte Ellis over Curry
- I remember giving Miles Plumlee a 4 year 52 mil dollar deal
- I remember Joe Alexander
- I remember giving a 1st round pick for Vasquez
- I remember trading down in the 1st round and Livingston for the corpse of Dalembert
- I remember failing to win 50 games in 9 years
- I remember not winning a playoff series in 9 years (I think only the Kings have a longer streak)

Solid argument.
However, a list of achievements would make for a complete analysis. Am I wrong to want to slide blame to coaches/owners for some of these? I suppose the Bucks stops with the GM.

So are you going to slide praise to owners and coaches for some of his successes?

I would be irrationally happy if Zanik's first move as GM was to can Kidd's dumb ass.

LOL!

Some hard feelings here for sure.

Guess I'm underrating his peerless navigation of free agency. Thanks for dropping in and providing perspective.

EDIT: Also heard additional details that really aren't new to us. But that Kidd is a psycho behind the scenes. Power hungry. Apparently tried to send Giannis home the last game of the season for playing poorly or something? Hopefully he doesn't dominate Zanik...

Kudos for the insider info. Love it when the board gets nuggets.

Stun to learn that insight.

Several of us hardliners from day 1 about Kidd feared his presence would dominate the organization, and not for the greater good.

He has never left a team on good standing, be it as player or coach. He has shown no understanding of adding talent yet his personality demands he call the shots.

I said from the first day we hired Kidd that until he's gone, this organization will not take the next step because he will be the Herb Kohl of coaches meddling where he has no business.

was referring to the Hammond nugget.

I haven't listened in years, but you may have inspired me to turn them on at the gym. I never thought of it like this :o . They do nothing but piss me off. My fiance will probably want to thank you at some point.

Giannis is the gift that keeps on giving. He got Plumlee $50 million, Weltman POBO, and Hammond another life.

It's amazing we have someone who's good enough to affect personnel and management decisions. Thanks again Hambone.

He's left us in a better situation than when he started, not many GM's on their way out can say that.

So it sounds as if much of the credit for Giannis goes to Weltman.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

still had to make the pick, but ya, Hammond isn't the sole reason Giannis is in Milwaukee.

1. Hammond and Weltman were the brains behind selecting Giannis.
2. Kidd wanted to bench Giannis at the end of the year.
3. Hammond wanted to fire Kidd.
4. Milwaukee chooses Kidd over Hammond.
5. Kidd trades Giannis to Orlando for Elfrid Payton, Nikola Vucevic, and a protected 1st round pick.
6. Kidd trades protected 1st round pick for (looks up Jeff Schwartz clients) Jeremy Lamb.
7. Welcome to Hell.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kidd is next out the door. That said...

I membered more things-

- failed to trade Redd when everyone on the board knew his health was bad, stuck with his max deal for 2 additional years
- bungled the Sessions asset at trade deadline, then didn't know difference between RFA and UFA
- Hammond's stomach fiasco
- Salmons FA deal
- trading assets for RJ, then dealing him a year later
- Delfino's mystery injury debacle
- Novak instead of McCaw
- OJ Poopo
- trading JJ Reddick for a 2nd rounder and letting him walk on a stupidly cheap contact

Those WSSP idiots judge GMs on how accessible they are to them and how nice they are. In that respect, Hammond is HOF worthy.

Unfortunately for them and us, it doesn't obviously translate to playoff series wins.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.
