Washington Wizards guard John Wall will appear in an upcoming episode of the Disney XD show "Kirby Buckets: Warped" on Wednesday, February 1 at 7 a.m. ET (video clip above). Wall will guest star as himself in the episode "Orbed and Dangerous." In the episode, he goes head-to-head against Principal Mitchell in an alternate dimension.

The three-time All-Star puts on his wig and shows off his basketball skills to discover why Lord Mitchell is obsessed with dunking. "Kirby Buckets" also had Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine on the show last year.

I don't know much about Kirby Buckets (e.g., Is it a hit show? Is ESPN just pubbing this as corporate synergy for its Disney sibling network?), but from a distance, it seems like a nice opportunity for Wall to build some mindshare with the tween-aged boys who are currently pestering their parents to buy Curry and Kyrie shoes and jerseys.

This isn't that high-profile an endorsement gig. I don't even know what it is to be a "brand endorser" in this context -- it's not like New Era is known for their extensive TV campaigns. Still, it probably represents an improvement for Wall.
