RealGM Mock Draft: Lakers are on the board (#2)

Post#1 » by Troubadour » Tue May 23, 2017 7:14 pm

2017 RealGM Mock Draft

1. Boston Celtics - Markelle Fultz
2. LA Lakers -

This seems to happen every year, but I am especially curious given the depth of this draft class to get it started myself.

I will leave this poll open for 2 days. Who would you select as a Lakers fan? Poll based on top ten prospects in DraftExpress.

Ball. despite his dad, his awkward shot, and everything, he just seems to be the best fit.

personally, im not as high on anybody in this draft as i was with ingram.

Lonzo. Despite his father, he´s the best passer of the Draft and he´ll fit nicely here.

Lonzo. None of the other prospects intrigue me as much as him.

Man, I want to look at Fox and Jackson and if they don't do well in workouts I say Lonzo. I don't have any ill will towards the kid, but his dad is what worries me the most. Since we do have young players on our squad they will be very impressionable. I mean look what Nick Young did to our youngins for a while, he was a complete distraction to the squad.

2 dawg race. Celtics take 1 guy. We take the other. After watching these playoffs, and Celtics with Isaiah and without Isaiah. I believe all options are on the table for the Celtics. Even Lonzo. So Celtics take 1 guy, well then take the other guy.

Interesting stat I saw: Ball is the first D-I player since 92-93 to shoot 70 pct on 2-point shots (73.2), 40 pct on 3s (41.2).

I'm pretty sure 85% LA is leaning on Lonzo Ball as their pick. With the BBB patch added to the jersey as part of the jersey ad campaign LOL.

Josh Jackson. Elite defender and athlete, can move off the ball, and has a high motor. He's elite at just about everything except shooting and his mechanics are fixable.

I would take Ball.

However I would really take a good look at Josh Jackson.

Work him out good and see if he can stop Ingram, Clarkson, Lakers need better players to test vs these potential Drafts.

Have Kobe take a look at him real good.

Just to make sure he is not the next Leonard or Pippen
