I think Ainge is going to realize Jackson is BPA for the Celtics. He may try and hustle some teams for the pick (including us), but I don't think they'll end up trading it. Fultz is just so redundant with the players they currently have. They were interested in Butler and PG, and I think Jackson is really that same type of player minus the NBA-ready jumpshot. They can start Jackson at the 2 between IT and Crowder (eventually Brown) and would be a much better team than if they started Fultz at the 2 IMO.
If that scenario played out, I would happily take Fultz at 3. I think it's a foregone conclusion that LA will take Ball no matter who Boston takes. We really ended up in a perfect spot to take BPA at 3. If it's Fultz, then so be it. He would fill our biggest need, and there would be no questions regarding his fit.
Whether it's Jackson or Fultz, we'll be in great shape moving forward as long as we stay course and avoid doing anything unwise (i.e. trading the farm for the #1 pick).
