OK, consider my offer to include the better of UTA/OKC 2018 picks. Please let me know as soon as possible, so I'd know how to procede with my free agency.

Damn this is making it really tough for me - if the above deal with Indy/CHI is acceptable to them as well, I've got a very difficult choice on my hands. Can I get some time to decide between the two once I get a response from them?

I really like what both deals bring me and I'm not sure which direction I'd truly want to go in.

The Kings will waive Arron Afflalo, guaranteeing him only $1.5 million. He is now an unrestricted free agent.

Like I said, it'd have to revolve around Gasol+Melo for Beal+something because there's not much else on your roster that would interest me as a competing team looking to improve the roster.

Gasol + Melo, that is quiet steep since with the roster right now i honestly think we could be top 5 in the east (with some further additions, even better).

Poor Q-Pon. I want that player off my bench but he's not a factor at this point imo.. And to keep a bit of realism, I can't suggest using him as the salary filler as you just traded for him. Though I guess if we have the same needs after free agency, we can make a Smith/Pon for Delly deal and pretend it's been 3 months.

Indiana would need incentive to do the Ian/Delly+Henson swap. If Chicago is willing to pay that price to turn Wade into Beal, then that's fine. But I'm only interested in that swap to use the value to get a backup 4.

If a backup 4 is what you're looking for, the Wizards would be fine with you getting Portis in such a deal if that helps the case any.

Edit/ y'all typed a lot faster than me here..

I'm going to pass on it just being Ian+Portis. Maybe I don't like Portis enough? But I can't see Indy spending that much on Myles' back up just to get a backup to Thad.. I'd be looking for a guy that can split the backup forward minutes if I were taking Ian's excess for Delly/Henson.

I thought Chicago had Jerami Grant and got excited by the deals.. But they don't have that one.

But if you and Utah work your deal, JSmith+2021 2nd for Delly swap? Tying it in with your deal bigger deal would hide the salary gap between the two?

I'm leaning more towards the CHI deal with or without INDY involved so probably can't do Smith for Delly straight up.. though I can add McCollough to make the salaries work if that floats your boat.

Also if you like Collins or Morris better than Portis, you can swap either of those. Just thought you'd prefer Portis.
If you're out completely that's fine too, CHI has enough there to get a deal done though I woulda loved to add Delly in the process.

You don't have anything else on the roster that's of any value that you'd trade... You're not trading your recent lotto pick (or did you move it for Gasol already?) and Porzingis is out of my reach and I'm not particularly intrigued by NY's future picks if they're adding Beal to Payton/Melo/Porz/Gasol.... so it'd have to be Gasol + Melo for Beal + stuff.

Gasol + Melo for Beal + Gortat + Oubre or something along those lines.

It becomes a choice for you between competing and rebuilding, really.
That's not something I can decide for you, so unless you know what direction you truly want, I don't think we can truly discuss a Beal deal.

I think I'm out of the Ian deal because If I'm adding Ian, I'm going to plan to play big and switch Myles to my starting center / backup PF and want the value for the Ian deal to be a guy who can get minutes behind Paul George and the leftover minutes at the 4. That's not available here..

Portis or Morris are great fits on the team I have now, but not if I'm adding 5-7 mil a year in Ian.

Yeah unfortunately all the assets being exchanged are bigs except Wade and Beal and we already tried those variations, so it seems we're back to the point where I said Indy probably has no place in the trade.

It'll be upto me and aramada to hash something final out so I can make a decision before FA.. but there's lots of time for that I think.

Spurs select with the 59th pick in the longest draft ever recorded, Mathias Lessort. We will leave him in Europe.

He was selected earlier in the draft. You should pick somebody else.

OKC offers a million cash for the pick.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
