Lol just came here to post this. Had to listen to it twice, he somewhat nebulously describes that package then says "I think that can get a deal done there."

If Paul George won't give a verbal commitment to re-sign with a team that trades for him, Indiana won't get more than that.

Kevin Pritchard has the hardest job in the NBA this summer. Pacers may have to take what looks like a crap offer or roll the dice and hope multiple All NBA guys get hurt or underperform next year so that they can offer him the designated salary. Pacers have a seemingly impossible path of getting a good chunk better than they were this year and that's another reason it will be tough for him to get All NBA. I think Minnesota was lucky back in the day with how the Cavs got the first pick and Lebron returned or their Love trade would have been much weaker.

Paul George to Lakers rumor reminds me of KG to Suns in 2007. My guess is he is pressuring Pacers front office to trade him without gutting the team that gets him of too many assets. I doubt he is content to waste next year playing for 8 seed and I can't see a player of his caliber preferring to play with Ball, Russell, Ingram etc. My hope is the Paul George becomes a Celtic and Danny is the type of GM willing to risk him leaving without a commitment.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I'm not saying that'll get you PG, but we've been flabbergasted past few years on trade packages like Rondo & Boogie. You never get anywhere near as much as you think you should for stars.

What do you give up though? PG doesn't get us past Cleveland.

It might if they also get Hayward, IT can play, Brown develops, Fultz and Zizic contribute, and they get one more useful big guy. That's a lot of talent, and the scenario is not far fetched.

IMHO that's a high price for a one-year rental. PG13 is going to the Lakers a year from now, and everybody knows it.

Anzejs Pasecniks is like a Latvian Kristaps Porzingis.

Rozier has his money off the salary cap, Anzejs Pasecniks doesn't count on cap as he may want a couple more years in Europe.

Portland could be good for Rozier. They have three first rounders, could use an athletic backup at point guard.

Thomas, Fultz, Smart, D Jackson, the Celtics do have point guard depth.

If Celtics get pick 20, and Anzejs Pasecniks agreeing to stay in Europe, it would work well.

Anzejs Pasecniks looks like has a lot going for him. Super long and he's agile too. I'm a highlight video fan.

This, "Anzejs Pasecniks is like a Latvian Kristaps Porzingis," was funny.

Posting on the this page since I hate being the last post of a page...

Idea that I need help with fleshing out, likely needs a S&T involved somehow, but here's the basics:

We get a commitment from Hayward, so we fill out the front court weakness with Marc Gasol.

Boston Out: Bradley, Crowder, Jackson, Mickey, Memphis 19, Boston 18, Detroit 19 2nd
Boston In: Gasol

Memphis out: Gasol, Memphis 18, Parsons
Memphis in: Brook Lopez, Bradley, Crowder, Boston 18, Jacksons

Brooklyn out: Brook Lopez
Brooklyn in: Memphis 18, Memphis 19, Detroit 19 2nd, Parsons, Mickey

Memphis downgrades from Gasol to Lopez, but gets rid of Parsons and upgrades on the wings with Bradley and Crowder.

Brooklyn gets a 1st for Lopez, a first and second for taking on Parsons. If Parsons can get healthy and rehab his value, Brooklyn could then flip him for more assets.

IT/Fultz
Brown/Smart/Fultz
Hayward/Brown/Nader
Horford/Yabu
Gasol/Zizic

Marks seems like a nice guy. But nothing he says or offers on the Vertical is ever insightful or impressive.

I'd call up Orlando and see if they're still interested in Rozier. If we're trading away players to clear cap space, let's get a late 1st rounder and use it on an international player, just like how Ainge draft and stashed players last year. Hennigan was willing to let go of Ibaka for Rozier and a non-Nets pick, but the Magic have a new GM now. Not sure if they'd share the same enthusiasm for Rozier as the prior regime.

If we are going for the two superstar summer again this year and deal will need to be consummated After FA.

To me the obvious firstdeal is dumping one of our guards at the draft. Smart and Rozier would be the obvious first option. But I could see Bradley going if we had another guy in the Top 10-14 that we really believed in.

I've been on team Terry since the Hawks series last season but at this point with Fultz coming in I'm warming up to the idea of packaging him with the 37th pick to slide back into the first round if a big we like slips. Say a Harry Giles falls out of the lotto, packaging some lesser assets to acquire a guy like that I think would be a solid play

Haha my gif was referring to the possible low cost of acquiring Paul George. HUGE IF TRUE. Since I'm not among those who believe it's a contending Pacers or Lakers for him, I don't mind the risk of him possibly walking after a season with a team that's as close a contender as one can get (short of being the Cavs and Dubs). He will not leave once he plays in green.

Are you a "PG in addition to Hayward" person, or "PG instead of Hayward". Having both would make it really difficult for Fultz and Jaylen to grow.
