I don't have anything against Ingles but man I'm not sure I like investing money in role players at this point in the suns team building. Especially with the money already tied up in Dudley, Chandler, and Knight. Those deals start to add up and can really handcuff you when trying to chase difference makers in FA or trades. IMO when you're in a rebuild you should try to mine your own role players with late draft picks and very cheap signings.

Two things
1) Gambo hasn't been right in a long time

2) EXACTLY!!! this team doesn't need role players. It needs a STAR player or two. Plus, why handcuff you cap with role players on multi year deals I totally agree - use second round picks and very cheap signings on one year deals

Its time to start winning pushing for the 7th or 8th spot. No more top 5 picks, tanking. Its winning time

He's a total goof, but also has, from time to time, been completely accurate regarding Suns rumors. I'm not sure this is one.

To me, the tweet didn't read as if he was echoing a FO sentiment. We're not that silly.

Here we go again...

Suns get-
DeMarcus Cousins

Pelicans get-
No 4 pick
TJ Warren
Brandon Knight
2018/19 Miami 1st

So essentially the Pelicans traded Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Gallaway and the No 10 pick in the draft for Brandon Knight, TJ Warren, and the No 4 pick in the draft, plus an extra pick. They do this because the Pelicans are unsure if Boogie would resign with them when they got roughly 30% of their cap invested in Solomon Hill, Omer Asik, and E'Twaun Moore (3 lower tier role players). Yes, the Pelicans would likely want more in the package for Boogie or for the Suns to take on one of those gross contracts, but they aren't going to find many more suitors so they settle for a package with a lot of upside depending on if Knight can reestablish himself as a starter, if Warren can continue to develop, and a valuable pick in a supposed loaded draft. The Miami pick is icing on the cake for the Pelicans.

Suns focus on bringing Gordon Hayward to the valley. They sell him on being the face of the franchise along with Booker. Boogie should stay in line and be very content with a deadly lineup that consist of Bledsoe, Booker, Hayward and himself. That is four potential all-stars to combat at leas the Spurs for 2nd place in the West. Tyson Chandler, Jared Dudley, and LB are the veteran leaders, and we still got developing talent in Chriss, Bender, Ulis, Jones Jr, and Williams.

As far as who would be starting with those four, I'm inclined to have Tyson start, but then our bench would have no veterans in our frontcourt so I'd guess perhaps Chriss or even Bender could start. The Suns revamp their offense to play a similar style to the Warriors. I'd like to see Booker/Hayward knocking down 6.5-7 3's per game as a duo.

I think we are open for business with #4 and something like that wouldn't necessarily surprise me. I think it is unlikely though.

Totally down to try to add Hayward and package TJ + #4 for a solid frontcourt player. I don't want that player to be Cousins.

twolves fan here. I come in peace

Just wondering what is the consensus feeling towards Eric Bledose?

Would a wolves package including Rubio or Dunn alongside the 7th pick be something Suns fans would entertain ?

P.S Suns have the best colour wave in the league. Bring the purple back on the home floor!

Yup me too and I think most around here would go for that. Is the feeling on Rubio over there that bad though? That seems like a lot to pay for the upgrade from Rubio to Bledsoe.

Have to think about that one. That would give us two of Fox, Jackson (maybe), Tatum, Isaac, Smith. Tempting.

Rubio AND #7 for Bledsoe??
Absolutely yes.

I doubt the Wolves offer that for Bledsoe.

Pekovic + #7 for Bledsoe is a more realistic offer. Good offer too.

That is a solid offer for Bledsoe. I think PHX might use it to go get more vets rather than use it thought. That would give PHX an additional quality pick to go after on of the available trade targets, and bring in a flawed but talented guard who could use a change of scenery that is pass first and a good defender and compliment to Booker. PHX would still have cap and additional assets to play with to bring in two more quality players.

MIN takes pressure off of KAT by bringing in more outside firepower and a driver that attracts a lot of attention. If this were offered, PHX would probably take it.

**** if the wolves will part with the 7th pick for bledsoe I'd be willing to take back cole Aldridge or whatever bad contract they want to make the money work. 4 and 7 would open up so many options.

I'm confident if people think about this more, that they'll agree it's actually a fairly solid team building plan. Of course, it's entirely contingent on 1) Hayward signing here and 2) A good front court player can be added through a trade. Both of these are not sure things at all.

Why I believe this is a decent way of going about contending again: If it doesn't work out, in ~5 years we still have Booker at 25-26 years old ready to rebuild around him. We can still duck the Warriors window just by virtue of having Devin Booker. He's really the key in this whole scenario because his youth gives us future flexibility.

Bledsoe for pick 7, I would take it and run!

19-23 core: Fox Booker Isaac Chriss Bender / Ulis Warren Len

If the GM has done his job that's 10 years of pleasure, essentially a 3-4 draft rebuild similar to GSW, OKC.

Plus we'd still have 6 firsts in the next 4 years as assets to 'accelerate' for if needed.

I'd take it and run. How do you guys rate Tyus Jones over there? I have a man crush on him, but couldn't watch him enough to know if its justified... If yes, I'd rather have him than Rubio, due to his age (and our core)

I really think that #7 for Bledsoe is fair and works for both team. But if you throw in Dunn too...wow. We'd be insane not to take it.

The T Wolves probably turn into a playoff team. The only risk for them...can Bledsoe continue to stay healthy. If the answer is YES, then they really do well on this trade.

Suns fans get what we want. A full rebuild. We are assured 2 of Fultz/Ball/Fox/Jackson/Tatum/Issac/Smith. It would be exciting to see the young guys grow.
