#16 - Bulls

The only one I feel comfortable saying in that range would be Mitchell.

You think OG could fall?

Yeah. ACL injuries are scary stuff. I really like him though.

Lonzo Ball is so quick, light on his feet, with a great motor with the ball, he remindes me Drazen Petrovic

A no sniper Drazen 8-)

except for the part where for Ball to shoot from the right his body needs to face the other basket LOL

I'm really not liking the crop of guys available at #17 now that Mitchell seems long gone.

Frank Jackson is the guy I want now, except he can be had later than 17. So I would try to make the best out of the situation and trade back to take him.

#17 to Utah for #24 and #30 is doable and can probably work something out (Zanik's connections only help)

#24 Frank Jackson
#30 Semi Ojeleye

If I can't get those 2 guys, there are other guys that I feel are pretty much on the same tier for me as others around #17.

That is why I called Lonzo a "No Sniper" Drazen

Can't see Lonzo's ceiling ... Can he improve his overall shooting ? I think he becomes an average shooter.
Strong indication is his bad FT%. Drazen for instance was 84.1%FT career shooter, and 43.7 3P%.

So maybe Lonzo is a Drazen/Rubio mix

Anyway, can't wait to see him play. He will be fun to watch.

Is it just me or is the nbadraft.net mock more atrocious than usual?

I'd honestly be very embarrassed to have their current mock up for people to see......and this is realizing that most people know they are a sham.

I keep seeing everybody mentioning the option of trading back, but I'm not sure that will be possible. I don't think we're the only ones to notice the depth/parody of this draft, why would anyone want to trade up?

Yeah I thought the Nets liking Diallo was our best shot at trading back. Honestly there are a lot of guys 16-26 in the Dx mock that I could see falling into the second round, doubt the draft looks anything like the mocks after the lotto

Pistons #12 are thinking to trade down for 3 main reasons ...
1.There is no good (franchise) PG at #12
2.Best available player at #12 is probably a Center Markannen, Zach Collins and they are loaded with Cs or even those will be picked earlier
3. They want to offload salary cause they will be over the cap with KCP extension.

They are about to trade Tobias or Reggie and I believe Tobias is a good player for our offense and still 24 years old on a "Middleton contract".
Maybe a deal with Delly. If Monroe opts out, I think we have the cap space to absorb Tobias salary.
Of course this means we pack Snell in a deal, or let him leave. #12 and Tobias are intriguing pieces moving forward...

So yes many teams are thinking to trade down for multiple reasons...

Question is ... should we trade up to #12 to get Zach Collins or Markannen? What do we attach

Why are we so bound by these mock drafts?

Everyone wants Dorsey let's just pretend he is projected at #17 and take him. He's our guy and wants to play for us. Just get the guy.

Brogdon was pretty close at 1.1, Snell at 1.3, Justin Anderson. It's about scheme with these guys and being coached not to foul and not to reach and let your guy get by you.

Exactly, look at Thon last year. Most people had him as a possible 2nd rounder

Is there a PG version of a Thon pick this year?

Made a realgm draft simulator ... check this out

I was split between Kennard and Hartenstein ... picked Kennard just by instict, though I like Hartenstein too.

There is a possibility that Dorsey and Mason will not be at #48, the need of 3pt shooting in modern NBA is the new trend.

Hammond steals our Dorsey

No not really. The closest would be French Frank I guess, and before he pulled out Diallo.

The weird story guys are Derrick White (played 3 years in D2) and Jonah Bolden (1 year at UCLA, then one in the Adriatic League).

I really like them both a lot. I have a hard time seeing White not being a successful pro.

What does next years draft look like ???
Should we trade next years second to move up in the second this year ??
A swap with Phoenix might be nice - they could use quantity - Orlando too

Bolden is an absolute gem in the 2nd.
