^^well out of that starting 5, I'd say the upgrade has to come at PF. Jon is most definitely a bench player.

So who has a 4 they would be willing to give up for Tobias?

I think Morris is probably more valuable due to his cap hit. Package Morris with a future pick or player then the team can get some quality return.

What quality are you getting for $5-8 mil though?

We don't wanna pay the tax (or shouldn't) so the idea is to comeup with a realistic trade where:

1 - we take back a little less salary

2 - we improve the team for the next 2 years

3 - maintain some kind of flexibility
I think trading Harris and a pick could accomplish all 3 while Mook's return is limited due to his low salary

Most likely, there will be more players involved.

The best deal you could likely get would be Favors + Diaw. Favors is now healthy and working out. Diaw is a non-guaranteed contract that lets you take $7M off your books. The thing is, the Jazz don't want Drummond, so a 3rd team would have to get involved.

If you can get Phoenix to take Drummond, Utah will take back Bledsoe, the #12 pick, and something from Phoenix.

DET out: Drummond + #12
DET in: Favors + Diaw (non-guaranteed)

Utah out: Favors + Diaw
Utah in: Bledsoe, Player X, #12

PHX out: Bledsoe, Player X
PHX in: Drummond

Why does Detroit have to trade our pick and only get Favor who is battling injuries as a tweener big.

More like Drummond + 12 for Bledsoe and Favors

Utah in #12

PHX in Drummond

Don't think the Jazz would do it if they're not getting Bledsoe. That would amount to dumping Favors. Plus you guys are over the cap, so you can't take back that much salary.

Detroit could just look to dump Reggie. Also 12 for Favor isn't dumping him, getting a good pick for a guy looking to sign another contract that doesn't even really fit your team seems pretty fair.

RJ, SJ & Jon Boy

For

Rhyno & Lou Williams

We save approx $3mil immediately and Lou Will expires after next season

Houston:

let Patrick Beverly walk and replace him with RJ...

RJ has history from OKC with Harden (hopefully good history)

Replace Rhyno with Jon Boy...cut $8 mil per for them

Get SJ as sweetener

Line ups pretty irrelevant for MDA but:

Jon, Ariza, SJ, Gordon, Harden

Capela, Nene, Dekker, RJ

We become:

Dre - Bobo
Rhyno - Harris - King
Mook - (Harris)
KCP - Lou Will (#12)
Ish - (MLE)
