Noah and it's not close. At least Turner could play 25 mpg and last at least 50 games

I think he's a streaky shooter and not a great one at that

he shoots 43% from 3 in a professional league (so pretty much NBA distance 3 pointer) not college. 3 point shooting is his most transitional NBA trait right now on offense.

He shoots 75.5% on open spot ups and 37.1% on contested spot ups according to his synergy stats.

I'd say that's pretty good.

Easily Noah. Turner could still start for us when we acquire him.

these guys have looked at the stats and consider evan the 6th worst contract in the league. it was actually a top 5 but they felt it was important enough to give him honorable mention. lol. noah didn't make the list, they say, because he isn't completely horrible when healthy. but tune in next year if he's unhealthy again they say.

https://bballbreakdown.com/2017/03/30/ranking-nbas-worst-value-contracts-2016-17/

Honorable mention: Evan Turner, Portland Trail Blazers

2016-17 salary: $16,393,443
Win shares: 1.0
Dollars per win share: $16,393,443

After handing Evan Turner a four-year, $70 million contract in July, the Trail Blazers had to feel immediate buyer’s remorse. Through the first two months of the season, the Ohio State product ranked second-to-last league-wide in total plus/minus (minus-208), a subplot which CBS Sports’ Matt Moore gleefully tracked on Twitter. He was shooting 42.0 percent overall on 8.6 field-goal attempts per game and 28.6 percent from three-point range, which helped explain why Portland’s bench had the league’s seventh-worst net rating (minus-4.9) through Dec. 31.

In late November, Sports Illustrated‘s Ben Golliver attempted to diagnose the root of Turner’s struggles with the Blazers:

Blazermaniacs have become accustomed to the “Flow” style under coach Terry Stotts, where bodies move off the ball and the ball in turn moves to find them once they’re open. Turner is a “groove” player, most comfortable when he’s rocking defenders with the dribble and looking for openings in one-on-one situations. There might come a time when the flow and groove meet to produce magic, but so far they have rubbed like sandpaper.

Since the calendar flipped to 2017, Turner’s plus/minus hasn’t been anywhere near as awful—in fact, he’s even in the positives (plus-14) across 24 games! That said, his per-game output isn’t drastically different than it was during those first two struggle-filled months, and he currently ranks 422nd out of 460 players in ESPN.com’s real plus-minus.

Throughout his seven-year career, Turner has yet to post a league-average player efficiency rating—his highest mark, 13.6, came in Boston last season. He has never finished with an above-zero rating in box plus/minus, either. With trade-deadline acquisition Jusuf Nurkic becoming eligible for an extension this summer, the Blazers must wish they could undo the Turner signing and allocate his salary to Nurkic instead.

We are rarely ahead of the curve on these moves

The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired forward Moe Harkless from the Orlando Magic in exchange for a future second-round pick, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The deal comes together for Portland not long after the team discovered its offer sheet to big man Enes Kanter will be matched by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Well he's older and will have to get used to it if he's here. Him for the 12th pick is a no brainer.

their logic was that noah won't be injured like this every year. of course he probably will. but they somehow penalized parsons for the same thing. so who knows ?

they're also not taking into account that we have an excess of bigs. you'd take those guys just to have a more balanced roster.

if have to wait to july 1st only way we get the trade done is if we add KOQ.

Portland has no incentive to wait to trade with us, when they can just do the trade with the nets and not wait.

we have to sweeten the pot over teams that can just absord the money outright now, KOQ is the only way that happens.

Are we sure he isn't one of the PJax apologists on this board? Seriously - who considers Green on a 1 year deal to be worse than Noah on a 4 year deal, one where he makes more money annually than Green did in this one year??

textbook big triangle PG really. would be interesting. only 28 years old. has never really been in a situation that's played to his strengths.

that said, i cry him no rivers. he is getting paid like someone whose strengths should play better to situations. cashed-out role player.

Probably the deal would be Reggie Jackson plus 12 for Lee. Maybe we throw a second rounder. Detroit gets a veteran guard in Lee. We take on whatever left from Reggie plus 12th. Proceed to embrace the tank.
