I still don't understand why people would trade a former All Star center that's still 23 years old for a luck of the draw player. I understand it's supposed to be a strong draft but Drummond is worth more. Pretty sure we can get Cousins somehow surrounded around Drummond. Give Drummond at least 2 more years and see what he can do prior to entering his prime. He's got a gift to getting to the ball. It's all effort with him. Surround him with a better PG and I'm sure he'll respond.
In my opinion the best deals we can get are trading Jackson, Harris, and #12.
Once you break off the core then you'll have a mess that won't be fixed for years and I'll really stop following the Pistons then. Our front office are doing great so far. We just need a better PG in my opinion and there are SO many out there!

I wish. Maybe if the Sun's are desperate for a young center we could do Drummond and #12 for Chandler and #4.
I would rather keep 12 maybe Drummond for #4 Chandler and Knight.
I really don't see any way Drummond gets us #4, Chandler, Knight and Chriss maybe, I'd be ok with that I think.
I'm going in the trade thinking Knight and Chandler are negative contracts
Championships

Cause its not as simple as "why trade a All star C that's 23 years old." He's got tons of flaws and you can't depend on him doing anything for the team besides rebounding. Reggie and SVG's system basically gifted him a All-star appearance.
Championships

The lack of quality centers in the NBA today "gifted" Dre an all-star appearance. The thing that is keeping him off the all-star team is the switch to "front court" voting. The east didn't have a center on the roster.
Of course, that is telling as well. Dre might well be the best center in the east, but he's not as impactful as the 7th best forward. Of course, Bledsoe isn't as impactful either.
I'd gladly give up dre for a true star. I wouldn't give him up for a borderline all-star with serious injury issues.

I would gladly give up Drummond for someone who is actually good at basketball.

Re: Bledsoe/Drummond what others pieces make this work?
I'd be very tempted to deal Drummond for a top 5 pick in this draft. I wouldn't, however, give up #12 to sweeten the deal. I'd want to keep both picks. I'd be willing to take on mediocre overpaid role players to match salaries.
I said before the season that if Drummond didn't raise his game to near superstar level by the end of the year, than i didn't think it was ever going to happen. I mean he's been in the league for like 5 seasons. I think he can still improve but I don't think he will ever be a superstar. Fringe All-star is his most likely career path which isn't bad for a former 9th pick.

I'd do Drummond and Reggie #12 for Bledsoe, Chandler and #4

I'm not really intersted in Bledsoe because of his injury history. He can ball but what good is that if he misses 1/3 of the season each year.

Bledsoe has injury problems?
How about Reggie "bum knee, can't breath, throws up, gets winded, can only play <30 minutes when health" Jackson

Don't think we deal for a PG until RJ has some trade value... as it is we'd have to take back a nasty salary or give up a pick to move him... his contract just sitting on the bench is a non starter.
Best scenario is RJ comes back in good shape and we have options.
