Please anyone who wants Fox -- Listen to this. Facts are facts.
And one other thing: People act as if Fox developing a consistent jump shot is a guarantee. I don't know why people jump to that conclusion.
There's plenty more examples of players coming into the NBA as an awful jump shooter and
staying an awful jump shooter than miraculously improving their shot. His shooting numbers are awful across the board.
I'm on the Fox bandwagon. All of these players have risks, no guarantees. All of the love for lonzo's shooting is funny to me. He cannot shoot going right. Period. And I give that nasty shot less chance of being fixed than Fox's.
All of the comparisons to Jason Kidd are hilarious to me too. J-Kidd was strong, fast with either hand, and a great defender. Lonzo in college couldn't stay in front of his guy.
Listen, I don't hate Ball but the talk on this board ignores every question mark about him, while anyone else mentioned as maybe deserving of our pick gets destroyed.
Fox can't shoot going right. Fox can't shoot going left. Fox can't make a shot here, Fox can't make a shot there, Fox can't make a shot anywhere.
Fox is a 170 pound PG who doesn't have any elite aspect to his game other than speed. And what's nasty about Ball's shot? The form? Because he shoots 40% + from deep and he's the best NBA range shooter in the draft.
He's also a phenomenal cutter. He's as good off the ball as he is on the ball. He complements Russell's game perfectly.
Also, I hope if you're drafting Fox, you're ready for some roster construction. There's 0 chance Randle, Ingram, Fox, and Mozgov/Zubac/Black can be in a lineup and have success offensively.
