If you believe he's more Porzingis than he is Ajinca I think you have to take this gamble at 23. 7'2" guys don't move this gracefully too often. The best way to beat small ball is to play bigs who can play small. For example, Thon Maker, Kristaps Porzingis, KAT, and maybe this kid... The problem is guys like that don't come around often, and this kid could flame out. Lumbering guys like JV just get exposed, especially if you don't use them on offense.

Why is he ranked so low with this skill set? I mean, a guy like Porzingis was ranked highly even though he was international. Even the likes of Bargnani was projected top-10.

I have a theory that the Kings would be good partners in a JV trade. Peja travels in Serbian basketball circles where JV is still ranked high. They are also not fully sold on WCS, and seem to have an irrational decision making process which Masai could take advantage of.

In their latest Mock, DX has the Raps taking Ferguson. They also have Dennis Smith Jr. dropping a bit to 10, and Luke Kennard up to 11 as the most notable changes. John Collins has moved up too at 14 to Miami.

Raps should try to see if they can get that Kings' pick at 10.

I'd love to snag DSJ. Him+Powell+Poetl+Siakam is a good young core. I don't see it happening but one can dream

Porzingis' defensive potential was just as - if not more - exciting as his offensive skill set. From what I've seen, this guy doesn't do anything particularly well on that end; guarding PNR, switches, protecting the rim, rebounding are all areas of concern. That said, he really does move very well, so maybe some of that can be improved.

He looks like a pre-NBA Jonas with a lot more skill. I was a big supporter of Porzingis the year he pulled out of the draft, I don't think Anzejs has the speed/fluidity to become the next Porz

Anzejs is way more fluid and speedy then Porz. I just don't believe in his jumper. He barely shoots.

I think with the amount of talent available in the 2nd round we absolutely have to buy another pick. There's so many players mocked in the 2nd round who could be potential homeruns. Lyndon,Kuzma,Bell, brooks, bolden, swanigan, thronwell, hart, iwundu and even Dorsey any one of those players id be happy with (obviously depending on who we pick with the 23rd)

He doesn't look like he's all that good at basketball. Can't shoot, rebound, defend or pass, and he's an older prospect.

EDIT: Add in that his one plus skill seems to be that he can handle the ball a bit, but that's like the least important skill for a big man. Right now he looks like a poor man's Plumlee brother.

IMO we should trade for 2 seconds and draft Dwayne Bacon and Tacko Falls. That way we'd have a sickass duo. Tacko Bacon or Bacon Tacko.

Change Bacon for Jordan Bell then we have Tacko Bell. Or all three Bacon Tacko Bell. It's a plan.

Why not Jordon Bell instead of Bacon?

At this rate I think Semi Semi Ojeleye might end up being picked in the top 10 ... The guy has been killing it in every worked he has had so far ...
