Fultz probably won't get past San Antonio...

Now thats a guy who I don't think will drop out of the top 20. Some team will fall in love with his athleticism.

Yeah, on DX, he has moved up to 12, passing up Zach Collins, Anunoby and Justin Jackson.

Ulis/White/Dudley/Bender would be a super fun bench unit. High BBIQ for days.

Apparently, after visiting Pro Day in LA, Suns have invited for a private workout (apparently for next week) Latvian Forward Rolands Smits. Smits played in ACB last year for Fuenlabrada. He was one of 5 best young players in ACB last year playing 14 games in Eurocup averaging 9,4 points and 2,8 rebounds and was also named rising star of the tournament. He could be an option for our late 2nd rounder as a stash player.
He has good size at 6'9", he's athletic, can shoot from 3, though a bit streaky at the moment and he's improved every year. Lacks skill and strength to help out right away, but is still developing, so could be decent option to pick up late in draft.

If you expect a starting center he will probably disappoint because hell struggle with some of the great athletes in the nba. Now if youre looking for a 15-20 minute bench guy who can get you some buckets and rebound then he could be a great fit. Even his conditioning issue becomes far less of a problem with shot minutes.

Looks to me like a Zach Randolph type of player. Big, productive, skilled, below average athlete but seems to always make up for it with production.

“I love having the ball the last second,” Brooks said. “I can take the criticism of missing that shot or the success of making it. I’m not scared to fail, so these shots come easy. Every time when I’m on the court, when I don’t work on drills or anything, I practice late-game situations in drills and last reps. Came out to work out at UCLA and Cal, so it feels great to be on the good end of those shots.”

Assistant general manager Pat Connelly also gave his thoughts on the former Duck, throwing him a role comparison to someone on last season’s roster who can come in and create more energy on both ends to spark the second unit.

“Obviously he was a really good shooter at Oregon, hit a lot of big shots,” Connelly said. “He’s a guy I think that’s one of those energy creators that helps. When he gets on the court, like you saw with Alan Williams, come in with their energy and motor. And obviously the ability to hit a lot of shots, but also the toughness kind of carries over sometimes to his teammates at Oregon. When he got going, those guys got going too. It’s something he has that helps.”

Whatever role a coaching staff throws at him, Brooks feels capable of filling it and making a positive impact. A prospect with Brooks’ moxie and shooting prowess will help in that area indeed, where the Suns are starved.

“I feel like that’s where (my game) shines, whether it’s mismatches, finding different angles to score, finding my teammates,” Brooks said. “Just always wanting to win every possession having that high intensity every time I come out on the floor.”

I like Dillon Brooks at #54, I think that he has a place in the NBA.

I think with the new G-League, and the two way contracts, late second round picks have increased in value. I am happy we have two second round picks. Ideally #32 we can draft a player that may have a chance to be on our roster next season, and at #56 we are able to draft a raw project player to stay with the NAZ Suns to develop.

High Upside Players like Kobi Simmons, Antonio Blakeney and Isaiah Briscoe, who previously wouldve most likely stayed in school to up their draft stock, can now really benefit from some development in the G-League, while also making 75K a year, instead of playing for free in college.

I went to SMU (a while ago) but spent this past season watching Semi. He's legit.

I remember when his combine measurements came out - we were all shocked he measured so poorly - he looks and plays far bigger than he is. Reminds me of Barkley in that way. I might admit that he doesn't have a ton of upside, but he's one of the smartest players in this draft, an amazing teammate and very well spoken. Just a guy you want to root for, you know?

He's VERY versatile, but SF seems to make the most sense. He can rebound, pass, hit from distance and defend. In fact, I think his defense is underrated. He spent his entire year at SMU guarding the other teams' best player, 1-5, and sometimes looked like he was sick of it (I don't blame him). We had no front court depth and leaned too heavily on him, IMHO.

Would be a great selection for us, but I'm sure there are many ways you could go.

Honestly, now that I think about it, he's a Dudley with insane physical gifts (he plays within himself, but can also play above the rim). That really is a good comparison for him. He'll be a team favorite quickly.

From Semi's workout in Utah:

"Maybe the biggest benefit of Ojeleye is his terrific shooting. He shot 43 percent from the 3-point line in his senior season on a lot of attempts, about five per game. He was first in the NCAA's at pick-and-pop efficiency, at 2.19 points per possession, obviously incredible. That's a great NBA skill to have."

Poor guy, I can't imagine how he's feeling right now. At the very least I hope the NBA comes forward to help him in his career like they did when Isaiah Austin was diagnosed with the same disorder.

Who's your big sleeper at #32 ? 50 whatever ?

I'll take Peter Jok with the last one. He was working out in Phnx of all places. I dont know at 32 .... but the late picks are where McD needs to find some pink hearts, yellow moons, and green clovers.

PS... just read up more on Jok...eeeeh may be not so much. Sure has a good highlight film though :-?

Dang Frank......I normally don't look at prospects that are not highly touted (top 25), however, I'll take a look at Jok.

Thanks for posting. He also likes my favorite guy at 32- Josh Hart. I really think he's going to have a nice career and I kind of like the idea of him battling Booker in practice the next few years.

Josh Hart, 6’5” senior guard, Villanova
“He’ll go in the second round and play for 12 years and help you win a s — -load of games. Just a real, smart, competitive player you’d love to have in your locker room. He’s somewhat limited because of his size and athleticism. I’m just not sure how much better he can get. Doesn’t have explosive athleticism or quickness. What does he do in the NBA to make him effective? Solid character. He’s an eagle scout. You know that, right?”

Wasn't that Archie? Here we got a big man putting up that number.

Jordan Bell is my Tyler Ulis this year. I want him.
