Maybe signing KO and Smart long term and trading Horford, Bradley and/or IT to try to get another lottery pick and build for 2020 isn't so crazy. What is Ball or Tatum are available at picks 5 or 6?
If you could trade our vets - Bradley and IT in last year of deals ( other picks as needed ) - and get picks 5 and 10 and ended up with Fultz, Tatum and Isaac...... is the a viable option? Sure you miss out on a Gordon Hayward.
You roll out a team of KO, Isaac, Zizac, Yabs, Jaylen, Smart, Fultz, Tatum.....
Or imagine a backcourt of Fultz, Ball, Smart. Then you have 2 potential lottery picks next year too - Nets and our own pick.
Not saying we should do this, just entertaining the concept.
I'm all in this movement, but trading Horford 1 year into his Max contract and FA plans is PR disaster. Unless the guy wants to compete for a chip somewhere then I highly doubt he's getting traded.
