Shame, because that's the only point I agreed with you, that it's shortsighted. I would even go as far that not one respectable evaluator does it.

Why would you evaluate a player based on their high school percentages and not their college? Level of competition is surely higher in college

Not solely, but it at least indicates whether the person was a shooter at high school. Most good shooters were good shooters in high school as well.
If there's a huge discrepancy between the college and HS %'s then it's worth investigating what happened. Does the player struggle shooting against better prospects? Perhaps is the college sample size way too small? Did he change his shooting mechanics, did his footwork improve, etc.

We were supposed to pick 5th anyway. Imagine the swap rights with the Kings manifest itself as the #10 pick in the draft!

This is a no-brainer "yes" in this draft. You'd better be damn sure of your scouting to turn this down and pick at #3.

The idea that less information is better than more is interesting, to say the least.

Off the deep end, if we get #5 and #10 for just the #3, then we have assets to move up from #10. Minnesota doesn't like being at #7, and they have to let Shabazz Muhammad walk with no replacement. Justin Anderson, Furkan Korkmaz, OKC20(x20)? We can get back up to #7. Dennis Smith Jr and Jayson Tatum would be awesome!!!!

The Phoenix Suns are hopeful Lonzo Ball could slide to them at No. 4. The front office believes Ball is a good fit in their system alongside Devin Booker.

The Suns could trade Eric Bledsoe if they select Ball or another point guard such as De'Aaron Fox.

I had them pegged for a small forward all the way. A little surprised by the Ball thing. But that works for us if true.

If the Lakers take Fox, we take Ball and either keep him or trade Ball (#3) to Phoenix for #4 and Eric Bledsoe. That's probably too much, so we throw in Okafor (as the Suns have only 57-year old Tyson Chandler and RFA Alex Len and RFA Alan Williams) and they throw in their rights to MIA21. If MIA21 is too much, #3 and Okafor and #4 and Bledsoe is a perfectly acceptable outcome.

At #4 we take Josh Jackson, then we go hard after Sacramento's #10 pick (TJ Maxx, Justin Anderson, Furkan Korkmaz, OKC20(x20).

Eric Bledsoe, Malik Monk (#10), Josh Jackson. Who says no?

A few weeks back I was all like "trading back is for wiiiiimps" but like the hypocrite I am, if we could get 5 and 10 we should look into it.

Issac and Mitchell would complete our rotation. We could then still go after a Jrue type or KCP and block out the sun defensively while still having some shooters.

of course Bryan could also go Monk/Lauri because shootaz....so there is always that.

I think the Kings are making a mistake by trading up for Fox, but hey if the rumor is true then by all means BC better get it done. Isaac and Mitchell would be great.

On another note Fultz has declared that he won't be working out for any other teams. He announced this after his workout with the Celtics. It seems likely that they promised to take him #1.

I'd do that deal. I don't think Monk falls to ten, buts that is on you guys. Okafor and the Ball for Bledsoe and #4.

I'm still operating under the assumption that they'd be moving up for Josh Jackson. They can get a point guard at #10, but not a small forward. They need both, desperately.

I mentioned this several days ago.....3rd pick and Okafor for #5 and 10.....we take Monk and either Markannen or Collins.

Sign a PG in FA and we're a top 4 seed next year....assuming Simmons and Embiid play at least 60 games each.

On the awkward count of 3 everyone say Nik rocks!

I would only do 3 for 5 and 10 if I knew either Smith or Monk would be there at 10. I'm not trading Josh Jackson for Isaac and Markkanen or Monk and Markkanen.

5 and 10 will be Monk and Collins. Monk will be Lou Williams on defense and a chucker on offense. Amazing how people love prospects without a position, but when they get into the NBA they say "Don't want, he has no position." Monk looks like a future 6th man chucker.
