I have no expectations for him really. I have hopes that he can play 20 minutes a night in the league shooting the 3 at a high percentage, but I consider him house money at this point.

I think that BC has already accomplished what he needed to accomplish with those two mid twenties picks in that Luwawu looks like a good player. If Korkmaz completely busts I still think we did pretty well with those picks.

TLC was very impressive. Other teams have noticed and you see his name in trade talks. If he adds strength and improves his perimeter defense, he could be our starting shooting guard for the future. Hopefully, Korkmaz can be a good pick too.

he's, what, 19? good height for a guard, and can elevate around the rim. mainly, he shoots the longball. how well would a legitimate sharpshooter fit this roster?

Korkmaz is a skinny 19 year old 6'8" SG with nice explosiveness and shooting range. I'm less worried about him bulking up than I am about a number of the similar aged guys projected to go in the top 10 this year.

So, if Korkmaz doesn't come over this summer -- which it sounds like he won't -- he will be at year 2 of 3 to get out of the rookie scale.

I know Dario came over on rookie scale after year 2, but Dario had a much better rookie scale number. I wouldn't rule out that it is get Korkmaz now or in 2 years and not on rookie scale.

Agreed. He's still a kid and time is on his side to fill out his frame. From the limited tape I've seen, he seems capable of pulling up off the dribble (somewhat of a lost art these days) in addition to being a catch and shoot guy.

I see him having the most trouble adjusting defensively at the next level, but I have a good feeling that his offense will continue to develop and should translate nicely in today's NBA.

hey, either the kid can shoot or he can't. he gets his chance right now, working out the same time as all the predraft prospects we invited. (nice timing, huh? give Brett a chance to work with him before we lock in our draftnight decisions.)

seriously.I've said this at the nth time. I've seen this guy in person, this guy's physique is like one of those female runway model. 0% body fat!

I'm 100% sure Tj can bulldoze his way at the post against Korkmaz.

Well what do I know. He is coming. If I was his advisor I would have told him stay for 2 years. Get off rookie deal and get nice contract. But I'm not and it's his life/money. Welcome to Philly if these reports are true.

Goodbye Gerald Henderson

It's gonna be interesting to see how this roster turns out and the minutes spread out

How is this confirmation that he's going to do it unless I'm missing something? We already knew that the maximum amount that Philly could pay is $650k and he could just be confirming that Philly has agreed to pay that if Korkmaz understands he's responsible for the rest. I'd like to get him over here and see what we have myself, but I would have rather read something that said it's done or will be shortly. I didn't quite read it that way.
