What would you give up for Kevin Love? Maybe the Cavs feel they need to make a bold move to get better. Is there a trade that would make sense for both teams?

Marvin + MKG for Love, filler added where needed? Too much for us? Doesn't move the needle. Kills our defense?
Marvin + 11? Would Cavs have any interest in a lotto pick at this point? Probably not going to help them beat Warriors next year.
MKG + Frank?
Batum?
Batum + ?

I'd definitely be into trading for Love.

Cavs wouldn't do 1-3.

Could see them do a nic trade though.

Frank seemingly makes sense for them, I don't think you need a player of Love/Bosh caliber for the roles they took on LeBron teams. Around the deadline I advocated something surrounding Batum and Marvin, but I'm not as sure about that now.

Marvin + Frank + Lamb works.

EDIT: Lamb is filler here to make salaries work, not that they'd have much interest. They'd prefer Marco I'm sure.

I would prefer trading Nic to be honest. Love can pretty much cover Batum's playmaking duties and the offense would be run through Love/Kemba. It would allow us to plug in a 3&D player into the starting lineup at SG.

I think Love would be great here. His main downside is that he doesn't match up well against the Warriors, but we're never going to play them in a game that matters anyways.

They already have frye in the role frank would do.

Cavs need defense, playmakers and shooters , nic is the only player we have that can do all 3 (when he tries).

Mkg can't shoot, no interest.
Lamb can't defend or shoot well enough.
Frank can do 2-3 but they already have frye who does the same stuff.
Marv can do 2-3 things and can play small.

I can see nic and Marv for love and a mid sized contract they want to trade.

I've always thought Marvin would work well with Lebron, since both guys similar size can switch everything. Marvin is a good defender that would help their defense, but would give as much 3pt spacing as Love.

I'm sure if the Cavs put Love on the market they will get plenty of offers that are probably better fits than what we could offer (w/out gutting our team).

Nic and Marv for Love and shump. Jefferson goes to 76ers to make $ work.

Love + Shump for Batum + Marvin works

Not sure if that improves our team or not though

Kemba, Shump, MKG, Love, Cody + Frank + #11 -> is that a better core than what we have now?

I only mentioned Lamb for salary-matching purposes. Frye does a lot of the same stuff as Frank, but they have Love in a similar role as well. Not that Frank is near that level, but they'd likely want a similar player archetype in return.

I think Marvin would play more 3 there.

I posted first. Fats trying to steal my ideas.

I think it would. Love would be our #1b scoring option and is a better shooter/playmaker than nic is. Shump would help the defense and is a decent enough shooter.

They are also younger than nic and Marv.

I think we could get Love with an offer of MKG and Marvin, but our defense would be bottom 5 in the league.

We'd almost certainly draft OG in that scenario though, so maybe it would pay off once he heals.

Marvin + Nic are nearly ideal but their $35M is not. Actually, the more I look at it MKG + Frank for $16M is their best combination of contracts, improved passing/playmaking, positional versatility, and saving Lebron on the defensive end.

Cleveland could also involve a 3rd team and add Shumpert for another $15-20M piece, like a legit backup pg/combo they've needed forever.

Meh playmaking too. Keeping 1 of Nic or Frank would be a priority but esp. Nic.

I haven't really kept up with the Kevin Love trade stuff, but surely they could get more than that. I was thinking something involving Love going to OKC, Oladipo to Indy, and George to Cleveland. Throw in whatever filler contracts/picks/assets you need to make it work.

MKG, Marv, and Belinelli/ Lamb for Love and Shumpert
Then
Nic, pick #11 and the 2019 pick for Paul George (hopefully willing to sign with Kemba and Love)

Kemba, Shump, PG13, Love, Cody + Frank

Better scoring options, and better overall defense on the wings. Would need bench help to go with Frank and Belinelli/Lamb

Reclamation project for a guy that has never been a decent point guard? Pass. I'd take Ty Lawson as a reclamation project. At least he was good in the past.

I'm confused as to who you're referring to here?

Edit: Even weirder, how did those **** get there??
