If the Cavs think Lebron will bolt again, how much would you give up in a trade for a year of him?

Bradley, Mickey, Jackson, Boston '18 first for
Šarić, Holmes, Covington and Lakers '18 first

We have cleared enough $ to sign Gordon Hayward
We take Markelle Fultz with first pick
We get cheap young rim protector in Holmes and cheap solid player in Covington
We get young all-around player in Šarić...who could help alot his countryman Žižić in transition to NBA

After trade we have:

Thomas / Fultz / Rozier
Brown / Smart / Fultz / 37.pick
Hayward / Crowder / Brown / Nader
Šarić / Crowder / Covington / Yabusele
Horford / Žižić / Holmes

We get much more size (Fultz 6-5, Hayward 6-7, Šarić and Holmes 6-10, Žižić 6-11, Covington 6-9, Nader 6-8 and Yabusele very wide 6-8). We upgrade our starting five and our bench.
Fultz is 19, Žižić 20, Brown 21, Yabusele 22, Šarić, Smart and Rozier 23, Holmes and Nader 24
Even our veterans are young...Hayward 27, Crowder 27, Thomas 28. Horford is 31 but he could age gracefully.
I believe this is the team that could beat Cleveland...and with Curry and Durant injury history you never know...
AND you could add to this team 2 LOTTERY PICK's next year (via Nets and Lakers)...basically you could have a chance to select two of Dončić, PorterJr, Ayton, Bamba and Bridges...and you are set up for 10+ years...
Dinasty!!!

So, Okafor, Holmes, Josh Jackson, Dennis Smith, and LA '18? Jackson doesn't last to 5, and that's like trading a dollar for five quarters. In the NBA, one dollar is worth more.

I do think this is very possibly what Philly would offer for Fultz. And I do think that Jackson could be (50%) available at 5, and that Smith might be a very viable guard for us in 2 years. But, of course, because I posted it, that doesn't mean I'm either for it, or that I think it might happen.

It's not even remotely plausible that Philly would accept that deal.

If you're in the Hayward camp, do this after we sign/s&t for him. Would have to come together quick with Zeller's guarantee date pretty early, I believe.

Eh, Gasol seems pretty cooked at this point to me

True, but not compared to who we're sending over... :D Maybe get a pick sweetener for helping them out. Have him play 10-15 Amir role, tutor Zizic, etc. And then he's salary ballast at the deadline if need be. Not overly exciting, nonetheless.

No, I think its possible. They have a bunch of picks this year so they may think that loading up on the 18' draft is a good thing. You might have to swap out another player instead of mickey or jackson, but its not that far off

oihhhhhh, wait a minute. I thought you were sending them the 18' NETS pick. Yeah, they wouldn't go for it if it was only the Celts picks which could be in the 20s

I'm embarrassed to even read this trade proposal. It couldn't be futher off. Bradley isn't worth LAL18 alone not to mention rest of the staff proposed there. Jackson, Mickey and BOS18 are almost useless garbage.

Why not Bradley for Simmons/Embiid staright up while we're at it?

I think the league wants PG to Cavs to happen. So expect some deal centered around Tristan Thompson for PG. Love stays in Cleveland to form a big 4.

Part of me would love Andre Drummond, but then I remember he can't hit a FT and make 22 million plus has a trade kicker.

I know someone who Is friends with a couple of players on the team. Those players have said they expect Blake Griffin to be their first choice in FA.

I don't see him leaving LA. But I just thought it was funny because all anyone can talk about is Hayward right now.

Blake Griffin is such a good player. He would seamlessly fit into the Celtics system. Here's my problem with him and the salary he would demand.

I don't disagree with you. Just sharing what I heard. If it's true, I could see why. The Celtics have historically traded and drafted player with health questions if they have higher upside.

I could see Danny thinking that Blake at his peak is a better player than Hayward. Plus, He fits our most pressing need and last year he increased his 3s taken and show 33 percent. I could see him becoming a very good 3 guy later in his career like Horford.

If we end up with either player, I am going to be estatic.

I think if it's Griffin, there's a greater chance of it being a sign-and-trade as compared to Utah because of Danny's relationship with Doc. And I always believed there was something to the rumors of Griffin-to-the-Celtics in the past but Doc of course would deny it until it's time to move on.

Let Paul George be the other shoe. :D Fultz is off-limits. One of Brown or BKN 18 (not both) is fair game.
