There is no way we don't pick Ball if he's there at 2.
He makes basketball sense, PR sense, and ticket selling sense.

It's the perfect Laker story.
Local kid, growing up a Laker fan, who wants more than anything to be a Laker, and happens to be a hell of a player who fits exactly what our team needs.

No one else, including Fultz even comes close to that specification.

And for those saying no one would take Lonzo over Fultz don't forget how much money and attention a guy like this brings to a team needing money and attention (Indy).

I've watched this video about 10 times and I can't stop laughing.

- I WANT TO PLAY FOR THE LAKERS, DADDYYYY!!
- All the kids huddled around Magic
- Inappropriate ravens strikes again
- Jim and Mitch's heads on sticks
- Kyrie with a flat earth shield
- Canadlings
- Fowls/fouls
- Cooking dance/euro step
- "I was supposed to let you get the rebound?"
- Lavar and his 3 balls
- David West fishing for a ring.. lmao
- The toaster

Absolutely brilliant.

I guess if the lakers thought Jackson was best available, theyd pick him but with Russell moving to the 2 late season, Ingram being untouchable, George intimating he wants to come to LA in '18, Ball the consensus number two pick seems to be set up perfectly for the Lakers.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Ugh 5 and 10 would not do it on its own. They would add next year's pick as well?

While the % statistics are impressive I think the frequency of the shot selection is really intriguing. Thanks for posting

and you need to add some stupid tax on top of it, considering its Sacramento and a hustler bonus considering its Danny Ainge. I'll venture to say two future unprotected picks contingent on Ranadive staying owner.

The Celtics told the NBA they wanted to draft Ball and the NBA said "No, he must go to the Lakers", so they said f it, we'll trade the pick then.

it's a bit weird why boston consider this

they have too many young players already as it is. perhaps boston don't want to trade away the #1 completely, but believe that they can get value (keeping one of #5 or #10 and trading away the other one).

if they think they can get let's say monk or isaac (getting a player that's a good fit) and still have the other pick to trade for a jimmy butler or whoever, then maybe that's the plan

either way, do you think sacramento would be more inclined to take fultz or lonzo with the #1?

Sacramento is such a wild card that I don't know what to expect if this happens. It does seem like a 3 team trade though, for the reasons you mentioned.

Boston trades #1, Smart, and Crowder to the Kings for #5, #10, and WCS.
Boston trades #5, Bradley, and WCS to the Bulls for Jimmy Butler.
Boston signs FA Gordon Hayward and Serge Ibaka.

PG: Thomas - Rozier
SG: Butler - Jackson
SF: Hayward - Brown
PF: Ibaka - Olynyk
C: Horford - Zeller

I dont know if this video has been posted but it compares Ball Vs. Fultz. It goes into shooting, passing, transition, defense, weaknesses and other goodies. You can see why Fultz is the safer bet but Ball has a potential to be something special although the lack of mid range shot and the shooting form will cause concerns for the Lakers FO.

Good video summary on strength and weakness for both players as they are compared with each other. For those that are having trouble finding best video to evaluate Ball, this is simple, objective and probably the best one.

It's really too bad the media drove this narrative into the ground about Lonzo being a Laker. Now all of a sudden if Lonzo isn't picked, it will be deemed some sort of shocker.

I don't even get why this is a discussion. The numbers are so far ahead with Ball, it's unbelievable.

This. All these stats reinforce the already established fact that Lonzo has no mid range game and and shoots a good percentage from 3 and at the rim. :dontknow:
