Re: official Melo trade speculation - thread 2
I see the Celtics, Heat, Lakers, and Clippers as potential Melo destinations but that's about it.
I could see the Knicks going on a shocking 16-4 start with Melo still on the team next season, and all the drama from these past few years being forgotten.

I disagree. The Cavs aren't that far behind the Warriors. The Warriors would still be better if the Cavs get Melo instead of Love, but they close the gap.
I can see Melo playing great team ball if he has Lebron and Kyrie, not to mention former teammates in Shump and JR. He would feast on offense with Lebron setting him up. I don't think he's ever played on a stacked team in the NBA much less having one of the best playmakers in the game alongside him.
I'm still a fan of Melo but I do want him traded, for his and our team's sake. He needs to play in the postseason and go deep, possibly win a ring. I'm sure he misses the playoffs.

Who's ever said that? Please let me know.
Hyperbole to underscore the point. There are posters here that fit into that category.
Here's the thing, anyone who's ever supported Melo has identified his flaws already. You guys always miss that.
Now Sark is a complete clown for acting like the incompetence of the Knicks front office hasn't played the biggest role in our teams lack of success the past 17 years.

Anyone with a brain knows the front office has been putrid, mostly because of the direction of the owner.
Anyone with a brain also recognises that the current front office is moving in the right direction, by holding picks and growing organically, which also means that Melo has no future with the team, and thus should be moved.
Why would Melo want to stay with an incompetent front office anyway? Is he a masochist?

I was listening to podcast where Vujacic was on recently..
And it was interesting that he pretty much openly said that he wants to be in NY, because it is really good for his Vine brand that he and his family is actively promoting/working on.. Like said it a couple of times without a little slight of remorse. I think they talked less about basketball..
Just thought, I bring this up. for no reason

Sark is just a troll with no brain
Kid told me I'm a Dennis smith fan, not a Knicks fan, and told me to go root for Orlando because smith might go there LOL
Dont waste your time arguing with him. He has no brain

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

Simple really. 1. He gets paid well 2. His son lives here 3. He likes NYC.

Then don't complain about lack of winning, since that's what matters to him. You can't really blame outside forces if winning doesn't matter to you in the first place.

Who's complaining?
All the Melo cucks.
OMG imagine if Melo played with Kyrie and Love. He'd have rangz.
OMG imagine if Melo played with Steph Klay n Dray. He'd have rangz.
All the cucks do is lament the front office for not getting Melo stars to play with. Fact of the matter is the Knicks haven't had the ability to get anyone, and no one wants to come play with Melo.

He's here with his NTC until he decides to waive it or the Knicks decide to waive him.

They won't waive him in an opt out year. Makes no sense. Bench him. He'll waive the NTC. If not....he'll opt out. No need to pay him for nothing. Carrying that in the cap for extra years?

No, I don't think it's for no reason. You raise a good point that others here disagree with and that is NYC is a great place to live and play basketball. It's the freaking capital of the world. And there's still no place like The Garden. Once we get our core of solid young players, we'll be able to attract free agents.
BAH-lieve me!

You'd have to be a complete moron to bench him. Talk about cutting your nose to spite your face.

It's not the same thing as it would be for us normal schmoes.
Melo has a home in LA too. He can live wherever he wants in comfort. He's at a a place in a job where he's not wanted or needed. He needs to take some pride in being a winner. If he wants to stay while we rebuild, then he's a loser, plain and simple. That being the case, he can plant his fat ass at the end of the bench.

If he only wants CLE/LAC, they don't have enough. If he doesn't open that list up he won't get traded. He's not getting waived and paid 60 mil to not play here over two years. That's just crazy.
He'll waive the NTC eventually. He's not going to be the man here any more. He won't get major minutes. The focus will be the system and the kids. It's all over except for the crying.
Worst case he doesn't get traded and opts out. Playing 6th man is not what he wants to do.

Actually, LaMarcus Aldridge wanted to play with Melo, but decided against it because Phil was trying to sell Aldridge on playing center and Aldridge wasn't having it.
