It's truly a win-win situation for the Lakers.

A) Celtics draft Fultz, we draft Ball. - WIN
B) Celtics draft Ball, we trade Fultz and Deng for 5 and 10. - WIN

I'd be totally okay with this scenario. Draft Monk and Markannen. Finally get some shooting on this roster.

If we were to move down, that's who I would want. I wouldn't mind DSJ either at those spots.

I hope it takes the Celtics forever to figure that out. And as long as the outcome is bad, I'm all for it.

The problem I have with this is that Fultz is seen as a superstar prospect. You're probably not going to find a player nearly as good with the 5th and 10th pick. Likely a project, or a player with far more holes. We have too many young players already who need to develop, we need more of a sure thing which is Lonzo or Fultz IMO.

If we do that trade with the Kings, we have to ask for more in return, because we might be handing them a superstar. I would ask for more prospects and picks.

I like Fultz alot. But in terms of value, I can't see the Kings giving up more than that while taking on Deng's contract. It all comes down to if our FO like Fultz as much as you and I do.

Very exciting. Not sure how his game would translate to the NBA.
I'd consider him a bit more seriously if he had a decent jumper.

He also needs a magic eye, don't forget that. No magic eye, no T-Mac!

This is the biggest fact that keeps me on the do not trade down team. We have a lot of young guys that need min to develop and adding 3 more youngsters will stretch us too thin. I would rather get the best prospect available and make the team better.

What do you guys think your chances of drafting ball is? Is the Fox thing mostly smoke? Ball clearly in the lead still? I know you obviously dont know exactly what Magic is thinking but I'm sure you have a better perspective than a suns fan like me.

Magic and Pelinka are very calculated. I don't think they would ever intentionally show their hand before he draft. I think they are locked in on Ball but they used Ding to calm down the hype so that maybe they can test the value of the pick, see if they have any trade offers, etc. regarding Fox? I think there's no chance we take him at 2. At 170, he's a string bean who needs to add weight and his jumper is suspect. I don't think we have room for another project like him.

Yeah the more I see about these guys the more I think you'd have to be in full blown love with jackson, Tatum or Fox to take any of them with one of the top 2 picks in the draft... There's a pretty steep drop-off from Fultz/ball to that next tier.

I still can see ball going first though, and Fultz isn't my first choice but I could be cool with it.

I also think in this draft if you have picks 1 or 2, you don't trade them to move down... Not in this draft. Fultz and Ball have too much potential to pass on them if you have the opportunity to draft them.

or is it just media speculation for speculation sake?

Now I don't really believe any of the hype that we might not take Lonzo. Im pretty sure he's who we go at 2 so I've been focusing more on 28 lately and come up with a small big board.

1- Semi Ojeleye - Great shooter built like a tank can play 3/4
2- Jordan Bell - Maybe best defender in the draft can switch on to anyone
3- Anzejs Pasecniks - High upside player to gamble on

Players I like to see Lakers get a 2nd rounder and go after.

1- Sindarius Thornwell - Seems like the perfect player to come of the bench and give 15-20 min a night
2- Cameron Oliver - Unique ability to shoot 3s and block shots
3- Dillon Brooks - I don't know why but I like this guy always makes plays comes up clutch

None at all. In fact i don't see any names besides Fultz associated with the Celtics.

Not even the media, don't even recall any tweets out there talking about the Celtics being interested in Ball.

If we trade 2 for 5 and 10....

We can trade 10 and 28 with Portland for 15, 20, and 26.

Latest Draft express has Josh going at 5 sooo... we can possibly end with josh, OG/giles, semi, and anzejs. That would be solid!
