Guys Philly finally gets that PG they've been longing for in years who loves to pass and can SHOOT!

Welcome Lonzo Ball to Philly!

A few thoughts...

Josh Jackson appears to be much more athletic than Evan Turner, and is a much poorer shooter at the line than ET. The both lack elite lengrh, but otherwise I'm not sure the comparison makes sense.

Jackson to the Lakers may open more trade options if someone falls in love with Ball. Ball also gives the Sixers a very sweet core in terms of passing and bball IQ. They'd need a defensive catalyst to ensure they embrace the defensive identity, but Ball, Simmons, Embiid +shooter +shooter is a pretty dynamic offensive formula.

The Kings aren't getting 3 and Okafor for 5, Richardson (who I like) and a second. Would have to include a second first (with possible protection) or another young piece.

If Jackson and Ball are both in the same 'star' tier (slightly below Fultz) then it's tough to pass on picking at 3, but there is a lot to like in the top 10 that 5 and 10 would be really interesting. Tatum on offense and Mitchell or Frank at 10 for the perimeter length/defense is really enticing...as are other pore tial combos. The interview piece is what we lack, and can tell so much about the character of a player.

I like Ball for the sixers better than Jackson.
I'm hesitant to put too much into all this predraft chatter, but there's certainly a lot coming out of lakerland.

Well, if what I think will happen, happens, this works in our favor. I think the Kings trade the house for Lonzo Ball. They want their Steph Curry and he fits that bill in this draft. 5 and 10, possibly more, for him.

Phoenix Suns reporter. Pretty credible according to Sun's fans, he's broken some few Suns trades apparently.

Holy s*** this guy's legit. Apparently he broke Nash to Lakers and others!

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/steve-nash-goes-to-the-la-lakers/

PHOENIX - Steve Nash is going to the Los Angeles Lakers, a Pacific Division rival the two-time MVP point guard tried so hard to beat, with little success, in his eight seasons with the Phoenix Suns.

At Nash's request, the Lakers and Suns reached a sign-and-trade deal, with Los Angeles using the trade exception it got when it sent Lamar Odom to Dallas to facilitate the transaction.

The sign-and-trade agreement first was reported by sports personality John Gambadoro of KTAR radio.

Lakers fan here - what interest would we have in promising anything to anyone? There's literally no benefit...So, it "could" be us, or it could still be the Sixers.

The benefit is that Jackson doesn't workout for any other team and risk getting injured.

Steve Kyler said Jackson has not been promised by the Lakers. If true, might be us or Suns.

PHX dude already said Suns haven't made any promises. Just LAL or Philly.

And Steve Kyler is just a speculation columnist, he doesn't know anything or break news.

Or maybe Boston realized Josh was the most impactful player and made the promise.

There'd be no need to make a promise at 1

Again, if they don't want him to workout for other teams and risk injury, it absolutely makes sense to make him a promise so he shuts it down.

Hope, you're right. If we can't get Jackson I'd rather weaken the Lakers pick.

The Sixers promised Ben they would take him. They did a whole workout with clips and had his jersey.

That was in order to get the workout IIRC. Here, I think if Boston asked JJ would work out for them considering he's already worked out for teams below 1.

It wasn't to get him to workout for them. As soon as he was drafted they released a video of him and Embiid and everything. They promised him.

I think I've said it here before, but I will be somewhat surprised if Jackson's name is not announced when the Celtics pick. Ainge is pretty sharp, likes JJ's type, and doesn't care about any backlash. Jackson in a way is a better version of Brown.

I do hope, if it isn't just an agent ploy, BC said something like "JJ won't get past our pick."

If Ainge decided after Markelle Fultz's visit that Josh Jackson was now #1 on his big board, it would make sense to make him a promise. Could you imagine if Jackson got hurt in a Philly or Phoenix workout? Ainge would be kicking himself.
