I usually like Murti, but he is only useful for getting interviews with guys in the clubhouse. There is a 0% change that trade happens.

Jesus Montero made his debut today with the GCL Yankees. First at bat: An absolute bomb for a solo shot :D

Montero is very intriguing. Here's hoping he gets enough at-bats so he can start at Charleston next year and not have to repeat short season ball.

 Let's wait until Tabata makes his debut in 2009 at the age of 20, is that fair?

Austin Jackson hit another HR. He has hit 7 in 120 at-bats. He is slugging around .660 now and has a .360 AVG right now. Can you say Top 100 prospect?

Yup, I think it is beyond the point of a "hot streak." I'd say 120 ABs is enough to show that he can hit at that level.

Kennedy and Horne are the closest things to it, and they're in the same AA rotation as Joba. Horne should get promoted since he has been in AA longer than the other two. All 3 project as our future starters to go along with Hughes and Wang, but that can change any minute. There is nobody in the AAA rotation that projects to be anything special in the majors, they're all in AA and the lower levels.

Kennedy and Chamberlain have been promoted to AAA.

Clippard was demoted to AA.

I am not saying that all of Hughes, Joba, Kennedy and Horne will pan out, but I feel comfortable that atleast 2 of those 4 will be pan out and maybe a 3rd one.

Yeah, it's puzzling why Horne wasn't sent to AAA.

Wow, huge news!

I want to say unexpected, but these guys are somewhat seasoned and Joba's one bad start withstanding, they were dominating the league.

One thing concerns me about this, however. And that is possible showcasing for trades. It is not like the Yankees to push guys this fast, and the fact that Horne wasn't promoted tells me that some team out there wants to choose between Kennedy and Joba in a trade. Obviously just speculation, but that's how I take this. Hopefully I'm wrong and the Yanks just feel that these guys are good enough and ready for AAA, which I have little doubt about.

Even more baffling since this is about 2 days after Cashman said those 2 wouldn't be leaving Trenton any time soon...

Is there any room in the AAA rotation for Horne?
