Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Mon Jul 23, 2007 11:29 pm

Cubs:
3 @ St. Louis
3 @ Cincinnati
4 vs. Philadelphia
3 vs. Mets
3 @ Houston
4 @ Colorado
13 road games, 7 home games

Brewers:

4 @ Cincinnati
4 @ St. Louis
3 vs. Mets
3 vs. Philly
3 @ Colorado
3 @ Houston
15 road games, 6 home games

Basically the same exact schedule.
Do you guys have any predictions?

Like I said a couple weeks ago, we'll get a lot of the better lineups and the Brewers will continue to beat 2nd tier lineups.

When we catch up, it will be that much more impressive.

The month ends with a six-game road trip that begins tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals for three games and finishes against the Cincinnati Reds. A winning road trip against the Central Division's sub-.500 teams becomes almost mandatory heading into what will be the most difficult month for the Cubs.

But Piniella isn't taking the trip for granted.

''The Central teams are getting better,'' he said. ''Cincinnati is playing better, and St. Louis has been playing steady.''

Still, August figures to be the Cubs' most challenging month for these reasons:

That Dodger series at Wrigley in the first week of September could be the biggest series of the year. It may determine the Wild Card. It is a 4 game series I think.

I got the Sun/Mon Labor Day weekend games, looking forward to the Cubs stomping the Astros while improving on their playoff position, live and in-person.

I am going to the September 3rd game.
Should be fun seeing Nomar and Juan Pierre back at Wrigley.

Actually maybe I have the Sat/Sun games. Hell I can't remember, I'll have to look at the tickets when I get home.

I still kick myself for pissing away the Braves tickets I had earlier in the year. :nonono:
