it doesn't matter. hes a point guard with a suspect 3 point game. Today's point guards require them to be a threat from three. otherwise,they are pretty useless. ( Rondo, Rose)

Grant was the 19th pick tho, Phil trusted Gaines with our lotto pick

also, look at the dudes who were taken after Grant in that draft

How many are better than Grant or have actually been good in the NBA? Very few.

19th pick, 20th in WS

Not a good player, but was a decent pick

If he lasts 5 years in the league, he's done better than most 19th picks

Knicks needed a quality rotational PG and he sucked. Phil whiffed on Larkin too. He's not to be trusted.

Drafting KP and Willy takes care of all 4 of those so he's now 4-4....

Don't agree with the Fox hype much at all. He's not clearly an NBA star with his skill set, no way. Yeah his intangibles and some of his abilities do seem to translate, but that's not a clear PG athlete/talent or someone who has NBA offensive gifts. I don't even see some amazing passer. He seems like a good kid with heart and smarts. His NBA talent is not jumping out at you. Mudiay had more gifts.

I've been a Fox fan all along but i kinda agree and could actually see him being a guy that slides to us. Things like his size/weight and shooting are two things that could make him slide especially with such good talent sitting there when each top 7 team is picking cause it's a strong lottery especially the top 8.

His jumper isn't broken, but his outside shooting was pretty horrific in college. I can't remember where I heard this, but I think he shot like 20 something percent on unguarded catch and shoots. The 3 point line is now further back for him.

outside shooting, strength, and frame are concerns...passing ability not elite either

Oh yeah, don't take me saying his size and weight might make him slide for me not liking him cause i love the kid and want him in a Knicks jersey badly but compared to every other guard that could go in the lottery Fox's shooting is the worst and his weight is extra small right now.

Ok let's go over this again the president of our team has publicly stated. His highest priority is "perimeter defense". His least priority is "athletic ability". What part of that equation makes any of u believe we are taking DSJ. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with Jackson I'm just stating facts.

In the same press conference he talked about resigning Rose too. Phil says a lot of things that can be interrupted in different ways.

I would say odds are we are taking one of Monk, Frank or DSJ but would not rule out anything... Maybe he goes for defense later on in the draft or other ways

Yes I am with you guys. I LIKE him a lot. I like his approach and his length and quickness. My main thing is that 1) it won't happen for him in a big way in his first season and probably not his second (though that is common of course) and 2) he could still very possibly bust ... near 50-50 chance. He's no lock at all, few are but his lack of a J and refined skills make it more likely for him than some 4-7 type picks. Still like him but the package is not NBA ready or close to star certain.
